Hi I am planning a workshop to do a couple of Xmas Cards and a Candle.
As this will be my first venture could I ask how people organise themselves. I was thinking up of setting up about 3 work stations, (my sister and my daughter are going to help me). With a completed project on each and get people to move around in small groups to complete each one. I thought this would keep the number of items I need less, ie only one stamp per table etc. I can provide tape/glue etc on the table. I was going to ask people to bring scissors they are comfortable using. Do you precut all the paper/card. I thought this would be best to help save time and less wastage on materials as you can plan the best way to cut things up. Then people can concentrate on the stamping/embossing bits more.

The room I was thinking of using is for a max of 12 people at our local leisure centre and they charge by the hour. I felt we could probably complete it in about 2 1/2 hours.

Any advice or experiences others have had would be very welcome. thanks;)

When I do my stamp camps/events I have a table for each card/project. I usually have it set up so there can be 2-3 people at a table. All cardstock/ribbon is cut up and put in the envelope. When they arrive I give them a bag with all of the paper/envelopes in it and the rest of the supplies are on the tables. I also have a table set up with catalogs and order forms. I have found that depending on number of people and as easy as I think the cards/projects are, it usually takes almost double the time I think it will take for them to go thru all of them.
Also, I have them bring their own adhesive unless it is something specific like the liquid glue or sticky strip. This way they can use what they like.
