Words for bird cards

I have a LOT of bird stamps and would like to get a few more sentiments/words that are suitable for cards with birds on them (or feathers, nest, branch, wire, etc. - anything that would be suitable with a bird). So far this is what I have:
Thanks, that was so tweet of you.
Happy bird-day to you.
Birthdays are for the birds or Bird-days are for the birds.
Wishing you happiness in your new nest.
Congratulations. Another feather in your cap.
A little birdie told me.
Chirp up and get well soon.
Congratulations. I hear you have a new chick in your nest.
Got more suggestions? Thanks for sharing.

Party at the nest
What's the word, bird
Friendship...that means you, chick!
Happy birthday, you old bird
Just chicken in
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song."
Maya Angelou

I found these online...from a book of bird trivia (!)

Wow, Diane!!! What a great list! TFS!

I love "sitting in the catbird seat" -- so many images pop into my head with that one!

One I've used is:

"Just flying by to say..." (on front of card)

Inside of card can say "Hi" or "Happy Birthday" or whatever.

What about "Congrats on your new nest" for a new home??

fionna51 04-02-2011 12:33 PM

"just hatched" for a baby announcement.

I got a Michael's dollar stamp at Valentine's of two birds in a birdcage, with hearts around it, which I have used on anniversary cards--"For the Love Birds."

Wow! These are awesome sayings. I was wondering about this just yesterday what to say with my bird card besides the regular sayings. Thanks gals!

If you have any owl stamps, you could have:

Owl always love you
Owl loves you forever
Thank whoooo
From "owl" of us
Hoooo-ray
You're a hooooot!
Guess whooo loves you (or misses you)?
You whooo! It's your special day!
Happy Owl-oween
Hoot hoot hooray!
Owl miss you!
Owl always be your friend
Who's having a birthday?!
I give a hoot!
Birds of a feather hoot together
Owl hope you'll feel better soon
From you know whooooo......
Hoot and holler
It's owl good!
See you later, owl-agator
Guess whooo's having a party?
I'm hootin' for you!
Owl always be here if you need me

If you have a crow stamp I've used Something to Crow about on a congratulations card.

Phew. Of course. I didn't think of this at all! My goodness, I could only think of a deserter husband...

And along the same theme, I have 2 darling chicken stamps from Penny Black--and always looking for more "poultry" themed sentiments. Please share any and thanks in advance.

Dorie95 03-17-2016 03:13 PM

Saw a card that had chickens on the front with word bubbles saying, "buck, buck, buck..." 20 times.

Inside the card said, "Here ya go, twenty bucks for your birthday!".

Just Chicken In on you...

"... (Insert wish here)... Winging your way!

One lady at my stamp club made a card with owls on it and one the inside it said, "Nice Hooters". It was hilarious.
