NancyL2648 01-21-2006 05:42 PM

I'll be 58 in a few weeks. Just like my user name says. :)

MWDStamp 01-21-2006 05:46 PM

I am 42. Glad to see there are lots of ladies around my age. I get on some of these threads and it seems like everyone is a lot younger than me.
And it is funny how many Kathy's of the same age range there are here. Knew a number of them in high school.

That took me a few seconds to figure out! LOL! And here I thought 2648 was your address or something like that! My username tells my age, too, but not my birthday.

I'll try to remember to wish you a happy birthday on Feb 6 ;)

Glitter_Girl 01-21-2006 05:48 PM

I will be 27 in March! :) Getting closer to the big 3-0!

i say awesome all the time...i'm 32. so does my sister who is 26. and my other sister who is 21. we all live in different states and i haven't lived with them for over 10 years.

i heard snap in the classroom all the time - haven't taught in three years, but i know the 12, 13, & 14 y/o's were saying it.

eta: was not acceptable, so kids would get warnings not to use that in classroom

Ksullivan 01-21-2006 06:56 PM

I will be 32 on March 23, so that will make me a 32 year old, with the back and spine of a 60 year old, oh well can't have everything!

I think I am going to start going with that other one Celebrating the 11th annivary of my 21 st birthday it sounds rather fun!

My 13 yo DD uses "snap" all the time...usually, as in "Snap, I forgot to call Shelby!"

clmcdm1996 01-21-2006 07:25 PM

Right now I am in the 21-30 group, but on April 29th I will be in the 31-40 group. I am having a hard time with turning 31. I don't know why. I as fine with 30, but 31 is just bugging me for some reason.

Stampinaholic 01-21-2006 07:27 PM

I'll be 32 in March.

Cris, I'm with you - I felt the same way when I turned 31!!

mom2triplets04 01-21-2006 07:28 PM

Turning 36 in Feb.

sharondh 01-21-2006 07:49 PM

Okay all you "youngsters" ... guess I really am the "grammie" of the group!! Although my waistline might give me away, I do have 60 years under my belt!!! Trying to keep up with all you talented young "chicks" is what keeps me from feeling as old as the calendar says I am.

friendly63 01-21-2006 07:52 PM

Hi
42 and holding here for two more weeks then I 'm 42 again!

Mary Hammerschmidt 01-21-2006 08:12 PM

I will be a "YOUNG" 63 next Sunday. It is only a number cause I really don't feel old.

stampfunny 01-21-2006 10:01 PM

Age

I will be 52 this year! I have 5 kids from 24 -30 and then a 15 year old that is still at home. I also have 4 grandkids with another on the way. My best friends are 32 & 34 - and my oldest friend is 45. I think that me having my last baby later in life has kept me "young". People are age were winding down and here we were getting our second wind and starting all over again!

I want some of you YOUNGER people to know that there are others that have answered this Thread alot older than you. There are comments from us "older" ones (including myself) that say(using myself as the example), "I'm 51 but I feel like I'm 30! I want you to know that when we say that, we are not kidding! That's the sad part of aging, INSIDE you are still the same person you were in your 20's or 30's - still like your favorite movies, still can sing (and dance) to all the same music (and remember many of the words). I like swimming & bicycling - I still do. I'm from the 70's and I'm true blue - that is in keeping with style wearing jeans 99% of the time, etc. But the downfall is that we are aging on the outside and fatigue begins creeping in. I guess I wanted to say this because years ago my mom had explained it to me - how she felt like inside she was still 30.......but felt almost trapped as her body, then at 75, was telling her otherwise as she could no longer do so many of the physical things - having to give them up bit by bit through aging.

SO......enjoy life...whether you're 30 or 60! And remember.........some of
us OLDER people are a LOT younger than you think!

craftytinkerbell 01-21-2006 10:11 PM

turned the wonderful 26 this past November :)

pcbsears 01-21-2006 11:06 PM

I didn't know how to answer because today I am 30 but in two weeks I turn 31.....so I just put 31 since I am close....

CocoRoo 01-21-2006 11:55 PM

I'll be 25 in March

Stampin Wrose 01-22-2006 12:17 AM

Hey! What if I'm just 20? There's no circle for me to fill in. Wah!! The first circle says "under 20" .... not to be picky or anything..... LOL

Yeah, I wish I was close to 20. ha ha ha

gv-copperdog 01-22-2006 01:17 AM

I am cool, but apparently I will be cool for a long time! Gay Howe

SkisInOkinawa 01-22-2006 01:33 AM

Oh yeah, I'm like totally "Cool" too.

Sadly I keep forgetting my age, I wonder if it means I am in denial or my mental abilities are just slowing down... Uh, I think I'll go with denial and say I'm turning 29 AGAIN this year! LOL.

Well, at least I still FEEL 29! He he he.

HappyRaspberry 01-22-2006 02:00 AM

27... i'll be 28 in August.. I still get carded and I hate it... One day I hope it will flatter me, but for now, please don't tell me that I look under 21.

smitty2004 01-22-2006 02:44 AM

turning <sigh> 48 this july. i think,act,feel 30
however when i get up daily and throw my boobs over my shoulders so i don't trip on them, i know the laws of gravity are winning...
luckily one is ageless in "stampland"
LOL

Lisa Loiselle 01-22-2006 03:11 AM

Still groovy at 45. Flashin' away and submitting to gravity, but that's all part of life. My goal - to NEVER act my age!

Thanks for the advice! I really do *get* that now! ;)

scrapbooker703 01-22-2006 03:41 AM

I just turned 30 in October.

Belle 01-22-2006 03:45 AM

I'm cool too !

I'm a September baby...45 right now.

I think having kids later in life does keep you with the younger Moms as someone else posted. Most of my friends here are in their early to mid thirties. My kids are 15 (boy) and 11 (girl).

The 15 yo uses "snap" too here in KS. I think that it is a substitute for using a swear word !!!! Maybe came off a movie ????

To me my age is just a number...I don't worry about that. There are too many way more important things to 'worry' about !

This has been fun !

etsdas 01-22-2006 03:54 AM

Guess I'm the "neat" senior citizen of the crowd. Before too many years you'll need to add another category at the bottom (top???) of the list!

OMG--I'm not the only who does this... People thought I was insane when I told them I was celebrating my 13th Anniversary of my 25th Birthday (that was a good year).

My other fav is the "I'm the NEW 18! (Since 50 is the NEW 30--I just took it from there!)

Cat 01-22-2006 04:43 AM

Another Cathy checking in... Let's just say, I'm in my "mid" 40s :)
