I'm about to go and stalk the gallery and see what I can find, but I wanted to ask here first. Alot of my dd's friends moms will be at this birthday party tomorrow and I want to make something great to give the birthday girl so that others can see what I can do and I can hopefully start selling things. I thought about maybe a comp book and a set of cards? What are your thoughts on this? Should I maybe just do some candy?

Have you tried note cards with the purse. Those are cute. Lip balm holders, or look inside the gallery in Anything but A Card. Or maybe a tin with accordian type album..I did one for my g/f in pink, white, and black. She loved it.
Good luck!

Maybe decorate a tin, fill it with a bunch of cute girl stuff -- barrettes, play jewelry, note pad, et cetera. Then make a beautiful Birthday Princess card that matches the tin. I think that might catch someone's eye.
But remember, they are coming to celebrate the birthday and may not want to talk about crafts.
I don't think a 5 year old is going to have enough writing skills to enjoy a comp book and cards. You might see if something in this thread appeals to you: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
You could do a cute clip board with her name on it. You could cover a box in DP and decorate the box you put her gift in with a matching card. I dont know what the theme is. A princess wand would be cute.
I agree with Peg..I didnt even pay attention to the age, sorry...But I checked out the sites that Peg posted..they look awesome.

Well, I actially ended up not making anything. I had already bought her a gift and just wanted to include something extra so people can start seeing craft stuff. I wasn't going to try to sell anything to anyone there or even talk about selling stuff. I just want people to see things in hopes of asking me more about them.
Anyhoo- dd and ds were in rare form last night and I woke up not feeling so great this morning (I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant with #3, but feel like I'm 50 weeks! lol! ) and just decided to opt out of something crafty. However, I have 2 baby showers coming up that I need to start getting ready for- hmmmm. What to do, what to do....

I second the name frame idea! My girls 8, 6 and 4 LOVE theirs. If there's not enough time for that how about one of these post-it holders? tinkerbella post it birthday invite by CherylPenner at Splitcoaststampers
I made them as birthday invites for 2 of my DD's b-day parties and they were a BIG hit!

Ah, darnit. Hope the rest of your pregnancy gets a little easier and you have fun working on the baby shower stuff. I think that's a great idea though!
