I bought a nail polish remover pump for it, but it sprays too much. I had tested it with water first and it sprayed all over. I was wondering if you would use a cotton ball or cotton pad to absorb it..? Or would it dry out too quickly ans in turn waste the Gamsol....?
I've seen other people post that they use the bingo bottles (which are the plastic bottles with daubers on the top). I think you can get them at Walmart.
Some people use the little baby food jars with a piece of sponge in the bottom and a small amount of gamsol. You just put the cover on the jar when you're done.
I've seen the ones from Gina K...I just don't know if I'm willing to spend 24.00 on a bottle plus shipping to canada...the baby food jar and sponge sounds like a good idea...
In AC Moore, in the fine art section, I bought a 2 1/2 inch tall clear glassbottle with a black cap. It was, like, a whopping $2 or something. And I put a label on it- GAMSOL, TOXIC. so that my DBF would know it was not just water or something should he happen to be fumbling round my craft table for whatever reason.
A baby food jar would be about the same thing.. and a terrific, low cost alternative.
When I use gamsol, I tap the tortillion in it then onto scratch paper... a sponge would work well, too.
I use a plastic bottle with a dauber top that used to hold stamp cleaner. I just rinsed it out when the cleaner was gone and filled it with the odorless mineral spirits.

I found on old bingo dauber..lol..I might try to clean it out and try that out...but it's green and very bright...so i'm hoping that I can clean it ...but chances are it won't...My daughter uses the gamsol too and we need a solution where she won't spill it...Half my bottle went all over my craft room.. :( so anything spill proof would be a necessity

I got a very nice plastic with a sturdy sponge dauber top and a secure snap on cover at my art store for just a few dollars. It is so easy to just press the tortillon onto the sponge to moisten it with just the right amount. I'm a real klutz so try to avoid having glass bottles anywhere in my studio, particularly ones that hold liquids that can do some major damage when spilled. Pat
My first experience with Gamsol and Primas was at a cardmaking class that a woman gives in her home. She used small plastic containers. I bought mine from the Dollar Store along with makeup sponges. (Got about a dozen containers & sponges for $2.00) I put a sponge in the plastic container then pour a little Gamsol onto the sponge. When I am ready to use the Gamsol, I just put the tip of the 'stump' into the sponge then use it on the project.
My method is similar. I had a plastic jar that used to hold oily eye makeup remover. I put a chunk of sea sponge in it and filled it about half full. Works great but it doesn't solve the dump-over problem if that's a real issue. So far I haven't klutzed out with it.
I have the plastic dauber bottle from M's. It was about 3.50 and holds about 4 oz. You have to depress the sponge to soak it with the gamsol. I really love it. Have been using it for about two years. The best is that even if it tips over nothing spills.

I use the little dishes, two attached pots, that are used by artists. I either dip my pencil end directly in it or dip the stumps into it. I use the Mona Lisa brand of OMS found at Michaels in Canada. Not too pricey when you use your discount.
