Default Summer by the sea

Just curious...how many people have it and like it? I am considering getting it this month since it is on sale. I love the pictures and the words. I have seen alot of talk about the other sets that are on sale this month but not too much on this one. Do you not like it? Does it take too long because of the coloring or watercoloring? Opinions please.

TIA!
Tracey

Oh gosh! I LOVE THIS SET!! You don't have to color it in if you don't want to. Check out this card that I made: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Easy and no coloring need. Not only does this set make great cards, but I plan on using it for my scrapbooking too. I used this set at a stamp camp earlier this month and it was the most "I want" set there!

Take a look in the gallery to really decide! lol (that can be said for any stamp though  )

I haven't ever wanted this set. I love many of the gallery samples, but I don't see myself using it for my card needs.

This was one of the first sets that I purchased, and I love it! I use it a lot, and use Wonderful Words with it also. For 50% off ... you can't go wrong!

I'm also on the fence about this one! I thought I'd get it because it would be different from what I have and fun to watercolor but I don't have little girls (one little boy), and couldn't use the couple for wedding invitations because everyone I know is already married! (Well, there's anniversaries I guess!) Still, the price is good and I think I'll probably get it. I noticed too that people didn't mention it as the "must have" this month.

This set is also great if you do the Smackin' Acetate technique, then stamp (and maybe emboss) on top of it.

I think if you like the looks of this set, it's great. It's not everyone's style, of course. I think it's great for Anniversary cards, and even just a nice note card. The little girl would be a nice Thank You note, or Thinking of You, or Get Well.

You can probably tell that I really like this set. And it doesn't HAVE to take a lot of work to color. In fact, I rather dislike coloring "sketchy" stamps, know what I mean?? This one might be good for outlining and then blending for a watercolor effect....

I didn't like it at first and never thought I'd buy it, but after seeing all of the wonderful cards in the gallery, I HAVE to get it now. (And it's beyond me how anyone could pass up half off  )

Even if you buy it for the word stamps, it's a steal at 50% off! I use the words stamps much more that the actual image.

Default Summer By the Sea

I was sad to see it on sale as I already had it. So I bought Seaside Sketches which wasn't on sale to go with it. I love both sets.

I love this set and since I have been showing it at workshops this month sales for it are really good  . I don't always do coloring with it, but I guess my favorite one is one I did using the chalks. It takes no time at all.

Love this set as a plain image, or aqua painted, simple wc pencils our pastels. It can be really quick plus the sayings are great. The only thing I don't like is I bought it at full price.

Default Summer by the Sea

I have all three sets. I think they are beautiful. My dream is to one day create maybe a poster size mural with the three of them. Even if I dont I believe they are so beautiful they are good enough to have as collectors items since the first set has been discontinued. I just love them though. I am a bit peeved as a week after I bought the set it went on 50%. Go figure My kind of luck.

The little girl in Summer by the Sea is probably my favorite image ever! It's so wistful and evocative. But then, I think all the images from the set are pretty.

I'm really torn. I just HAD to have Sketches and have never used it. That might just be because it's retired, though.

I'll probably buy it with my second order at end of month if I still have some left after the last two orders, $225 and $89 pre-tax.

I have it, but haven't used it yet. I was planning to use it for scrapbooking. I've been too busy stamping to get to scrapbooking. One of my DD's gave me the scrapbook set for Christmas besides the stamp set.
