Default Stamping Bella Stamps

I just received my three stamping bella stamps that were a gift to me from a friend. All four stamps came unmounted. Can anyone tell me whether I should purchase the clear blocks or order the wooden blocks and glue. Not sure which work best with the stamping bella stamps. By the way the ones I received were: huggabella, craveabella, cakeabella, I love them all. I am a new stamper and all the stamps I own all are mounted. This is a first for me.

i have several bellas and love them

i mounted them on wood blocks using double sided tape

no foam, no glue... just tape

i have found the best ink is versafine black

happy bella stamping!

Welcome to the wonderful world of BELLA!

I have quite the collection, all of which are unmounted. These stamps are etched so deeply the image always comes out perfectly.

I just use double sided tape and attach them temporarily to a clear block - works really well. As suggested by momis mama using the versafine ink, the stamp image is perfect.

Having them unmounted certainly saves on storage space, but do whatever works best for you.

I'm feeling silly here!!! I have quite the collection of Bella's *about 22, plus some sayings*, but have used none of them yet. Why? I'm scared! I'm totally intimidated by the idea of taping the stamp to the block, etc. I had finally gotten my courage up and was going to try it and I couldn't find my double stick tape! Good gracious! I will get to it... I, like momis mama, love wood mounted stamps---I like the feel of them in my hand... Have used some clear stamps and find these easy to use as they just stick to the acrylic block; no fuss, no muss! However, I will get to those beloved Bellas!!!

Default Thanks for the info

Thanks mommis mama and Pinky66. Great information. I guess I am going to try both the wood blocks and the acrylic block and see which one I feel more comfortable with.

A lot of the sistahs use EZmount, then you do not have to use the tape if that makes you uncomfortable. I prefer the double stick tape on the acrylic block personally.

Have fun with your bellas, I think they are so much fun!!!

I also use double stick tape or a bit of a tape runner adhesive with the acrylic block, works perfectly.

I have many Bellas (I am afraid to count to be honest, last time I did count it was up to 40) and I have mounted all of my Bellas on EZ Mount foam, it makes it quick and simple to stamp, clean and slap another Bella on. I have not mounted my sentiments, instead I use double sided tape for those, its sort of hard to use EZ Mount on such thin sentiments sometimes.

Im quite lucky over here in the uk I have found a product called tack and peel. it is double sided clear film, that you stick onto your acrylic block and has a top coat just like double sided tape. that you can remove attach your stamp, use, peel off stamp, put covering back on. It is fab, One block permenently ready for all my unmounted stamps.

I use EZ Mount. I like the cushion, and there's nothing to clean off your block.

Me too - I tried the d/s tape but I personally needed that cushion for a nice image. I finally got the nerve up to use the hot knife just now to mount all the new ones I just got. WOW!!! I can't believe I waited so long. It took me less than 20 minutes to cut 15 stamps and 8 little words. Now I can get to stamping them.
