Im considering purchasing from Simon Says Stamp and by reading some older posts here I'm nervous to order from them. Anyone shopped with them recently? Your opinion is appreciated.
Hi Sherrie12, I have ordered from them many times. In fact just yesterday I order a few more items. I personally love them. Through today they’re having a 15% off sale for their 15years in the business.
I have only had good transactions. from all the way back when they were tiny on Ebay my latest order placed on Feb 15th is sitting at my post office waiting for them to be open tomorrow to deliver it to me.
No problems for me. They may not ship as fast as Amazon and a few others but I have always found them to be reliable and their shipments well packaged. Their SSS branded stamps and dies are good quality too.
Two thumbs up here. They aren't as fast as some companies, and some have complained about speed or lack thereof but if I need something really fast I go elsewhere, and enjoy their branded items and other stuff as well as (usually) a $5.00 discount on the next order.
I really liked when they sold grab bag boxes to benefit hurricane victims, and included a thank you card by a designer.
I've ordered many times and have not had a problem with my orders. They take MUCH longer to ship (even when everything is "in stock") compared to MFT, Ellen Hutson and just about every other company, even PTI, but as long as you know that ahead of time, it's not a problem. Your order will arrive and it will be accurate.

Agree with what the others said. Never had a problem with anything I’ve ordered from them but just know their shipping times are slower than other online places.
I shopped with them a couple of days ago. My third ever order from them. I have never had a mix-up in my orders from them and they arrived in a reasonable time. They don't often have sales.
In general I've had no problems. Last Spring when I ordered the TH positioner though, it was delayed more than a month beyond the expected ship date. I felt I should have gotten an email updating me on the later date.
ladies, Amazon isn't always fast, I ordered a pad of carta Bella paper, Jan 4. It was finally shipped Jan 22 and I am still waiting for the delivery. If I don't receive it by the end of the month I will contact Amazon. (and the company doesn't offer tracking) Can you guess who will get a bad rating? lol
I've ordered many times without a problem. (Their house brand items are nice quality) Usually it's during a sale and/or a new release. Sometimes I've been surprised at how fast they processed. The only time my order was slower was when I ordered something out of stock, I knew that it would be slower and that the entire order would come in one package when they had all the items.
They actually are a lot faster than when I order from Joann's (and my Joann's shipments come from 60 miles away!). Not everything on Amazon is potentially prime with 2 days, many items are not. Especially those who are marketplace vendors.
I should add to my review that I ordered items on the 17th of February and they are still processing the order. I have never experienced such a long delay and maybe this is unusual.

If it's a Prime item and you're a Prime member, it should be two days or even sooner, unless indicated, though there is the occasional exception. If not Prime or someone isn't a member, shipping time is indicated - and if the date is missed, an update not sent, etc., customer service can be contacted. (When I email Amazon I alwasy select "other" as the reason in order not to be pushed to the automated system.) We've been Prime members literally since the first day it was offered it since we order a lot, and while there's definitely an occasional glitch - and their packing could be hugely improved - it's generally speedy.
I got a SSS order last week that I placed less than a week before, including a little stamp that was out of stock and restocked. The time varies. : )
Looking at the calendar that would be a Saturday, so it's 5 workdays and 4 weekend days. It was during the 15% sitewide sale so that would cause extra orders and some delays in being able to process all the orders. I know there are some flooding issues in Ohio but I don't know if they are involved. Given the circumstances I'd consider it reasonable. Probably will process soon.
If I remember correctly sometimes it took a day or so for the order status to be updated when something shipped (BUT I might be confusing it with another vendor). I'm sure it will be out soon.
I've only had one problem with Simon Says Stamp. One of my orders was processing for over a week. I contacted them and they said they would look into it and get back to me. My order shipped the next day. They never did get back to me, though. Aside from that one time, I've never had a problem.

Simon Says Stamp recently put a notice on their website about long delays with processing orders. They finally shipped my order yesterday.
I've ordered many times, no issues. You have to watch if an item is a preorder item or reserve, your order won't ship until all items are in, which if is a preorder item can be a bit before they get it in. If you don't mind that, then it's fine. If you need something quicker, it's best to make sure no preorders are on your order and place 2 orders: one with preorder, one regular. (of course the down side is you pay shipping twice but then your other items aren't held up by preorders).
I've ordered from them several times in the past and always received my orders quickly. I was very surprised when I ordered from them last month during a 15% off sale. I expected it to take longer to get my things, but it didn't. What I love the very most about them is how carefully they pack your order. I ordered a whole bunch of different items (ruler, pen blades, Nuvo Drops, adhesive, CS, ink pads ...). Every item was packaged like it was a piece of fine china.
I purchase from SSS all the time & haven't had any problems with my orders or anything else from SSS. I don't "pre-order" anything, from anyone either. (I've heard horror stories. Not about SSS, but other places.) They also send you a coupon for your next order & sometimes a coupon for a freebie! Their shipping is fast for me too.
I love that SSS is like a one-stop shopping place. I have used them many times over the years and like that they offer so many options.
I am in Canada and my only complaint is the shipping time which can be out of their control. My last order was placed and I didn't receive my pkg until 3 weeks later.
I could track the pkg until it got to the border...then nothing. I wish Canada Post would get together with the US postal so tracking could be seen once it got into Canada.
