Default Shipping stamps via media mail?

Has anyone ever shipped stamps by media mail? Do stamps qualify as media?

I would check with the post office but I do not think they are considered media.

media mail is for bound printed matter ie books and magazines or dvds. They don't even let you send stamp CATALOGS via media mail anymore...

so my guess would be no... it is NOT media...

http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendm.../mediamail.htm

here is the official word on media mail directly from the USPS site....

Quote:

Media Mail service is a cost efficient way to mail books, sound recordings, recorded video tapes, printed music, and recorded computer-readable media (such as CDs, DVDs, and diskettes). Media Mail can not contain advertising except for incidental announcements of books. The maximum weight for Media Mail is 70 lbs.

There are presorted rates available for bulk quantities of Media Mail (minimum quantity is 300 pieces).
A barcode discount is available for Media Mail.
Rates are based on weight and size.

Nope but you can use Parcel Post. I've found that the price difference versus service difference isn't really worth it though and I always use Priority.

FYI, more sets than some people realize can be sent 1st Class. The weight limit is 13 oz. First Class is almost as quick as Priority, but at a significant savings. As a frequent eBayer, I always appreciate the seller who will send stamp sets 1st Class.
