Ok gals, I finally bit the bullet, got brave and started making some tiles (4"x4"size). I'm going to try selling them at the craft fair I'm in next month. I've seen organdy ribbons tied around four of them but was wondering if you could give me some ideas how to sell them. Should I make some other things to match the tiles and sell just one tile with some other items. Is there a box template somewhere where I could stamp a box to match and that way they would have a gift box? I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me here. Thanks, Carol
I sold them faster than I could make them last year at a craft fair, I did see on here where someone had found a wooden boxand stamped it that 4 fit in. I just sold them as sets of 2 or 4 and everyone loved them.

Is is too rude, presumptuous, bold, etc. to ask what you sold them for? I would be interested to know. I have not sold them before but have thought about it. You are welcome to pm me if this is not something that should be posted. Am I out of line??? I tend to do that without knowing (foot in mouth disease...;) )

Hello! I have a lot of the tiles made for a craft fair in November and am puzzled at what price to put on them too. I don't want to charge to much but don't want to "give them away" either. Can anyone who has sold them in the past give some insite on a good price? I (and am sure a lot of others) would REALLY appreciate it.
The ribbon is a great way to wrap them. In the past I have used a few pieces of raffia. It looks great! What do you use for the bottom? I have seen felt and cork used. What do you think is better?

I am participating in a craft fair next weekend. I will be selling coasters. I am asking $15 for set of 4, or $4 for one. But have packaged most of them in sets of four with ribbon wrapped around them and tag with SU logo!
I have heard some people ask for $18 or $20, but $15 is reasonable. I considered how much it cost me to buy the supplies, and then "use" of my stuff (ink, stamps, ect), and added on a bit for overhead!
I will have to see how they sell next week! I will post a thread and let you all know how it went after it is over....this is my first craft fair!
I am doing a craft fair next month, too. And, I have made a number of sets of four tiles, also tied with a ribbon. I stamped the angel stamp on the back of each one, and used tan colored, little round felt stick-ums (one on each corner) on the back of each tile.
I am selling mine for $15.00 at the craft fair.

I sold these a year ago at craft fairs - I only charged $10.00 for a set of 4. Now I think I should have charged more! I bought rolls of cork and covered the entire bottoms of my tiles with cork (affixed with a strong glue). I tied them together with ribbon and a tag.
I have not done it yet but I did come up with an idea to tag on to this subject! I was thinking about selling them (or giving them as gifts) in sets of four OR purchasing white coffee mugs and stamping a mug and one coaster to match. The coaster, mug and a packet of coco or tea would be a great gift. I have not looked for the white mugs yet so I don't know where to find them or how much they cost. Has anyone else purchased white mugs and stamped them? Where did you find them and how much were they?

Do you think the design a mugs would be nice? I know we stamped them using kraft paper and the DD Pines for Father's Day and filled them with minature chocolates and some shredded paper inside. We wheeled over the sticky address labels and adhered one to each one of the candies. You can get those mugs at Walmart for I think it is 97cents. Carol
Do you people spray acrylic on them, bake them or just leave them alone after you stamp them? I trust you are using Stazon and Stampin Write markers? I see so many different versions, but would like to sell them at a Craft Show also and wonder which is best for selling! Thanks.
I was just at the Home Improvement store to buy more of these. Just make sure you buy "Tumbled Tiles" and not the glazed tiles. They are usually in the next isle over from one another. You have to open the boxes and look at the tiles really good. You want to pick out ones that look nice and don't have a lot of nooks and cranies and chips off the sides. I take a few boxes, open them up, take all the tiles out and pick and choose the ones I like and put the right amount back in the box and than buy them. It takes some time and patience but it's worth it. Carol
