Default Ribbon Rings

Do any of you use the ribbon rings system to organize your ribbon? It looks practical but kind of pricey. I think I could make those holders myself and use big rings from an office store.... if I had just one of the holder things for a template.
Tell me what you know and think.....
Thank you!

I bet you could make your own. Post pics, please. I store my ribbon on a pegboard wall, using house gutter. I put the gutters on long peg hooks and load up the ribbon. I have found that the rolls of ribbon fit very nicely in the gutters, and it is a dirt cheap storage method. I like it because I can see at a glance what is there, it is very easy to reorganize, and I don't have ribbon "tails" floating everywhere.

You can see it at Ribbon Storage Ribbon Organizer | Ribbon Ring I have to buy almost all my ribbon by the yard so the gutter thing would not work for me. I wish it would, though, cuz I have seen pics and it is really nice.

I've got one and love it. The way I see it, it is a one-time expense. I think I paid $8 with free shipping, so keep an eye out as they will run specials on their site from time to time. Using the ring has kept everything very organized for me and I no longer have multiples because I can't remember if I have a certain ribbon. I've only got the one set and that has been plenty (and I had 2 shoeboxes of ribbon). I think there might be a template on this site to make your own, but I didn't want to mess with cutting acrylic and I wonder if cardstock would be too flimsy.

Did you ever find a template for the ribbon storage rings? If you did could you email me the template. My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Barb.

I do! And I love it. Here's an old photo on my blog but you get the idea:

You can probably buy the "rings" elsewhere, but the plastic tab parts you will want to buy from them. I store all of my ribbon this way and LOVE it. I love being able to see exactly what I have without going through drawers or boxes.

I use both the Ribbon Rings and a gutter and love both! Here is an older pic.

I forgot to post this picture. This shows that I use Ribbon Rings under my stamping area too. With the slim profile, I use the removable hooks and hang ribbons that I use more frequently and want closer to my chair.
