Questions about MO tax holiday
I found this from another topic, and thought I'd start a new topic exclusively about this for questions and answers:

In contrast, the exemption for Missouri is per order. We contacted the state of Missouri to confirm this information, and its ruling indicates that if a hostess order is comprised of several customer orders under $50, only the first $50 of the total hostess order of eligible school supplies is exempt during the sales tax holiday. For more information, please reference the Missouri state Web site at www.dor.mo.gov. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to comply with state tax regulations.

My question is, what about customer direct orders? Also, are these orders based on where the customer or the demo lives? I am a new demo (just sent my paperwork in on Saturday) but will have my demo number and stuff by the time this holiday happens.

Tax is based on where the hostess or customer lives. When you get your ID number you can do practice orders to see how it changes based on location of customer. Like I like in NC, if I order for my SIL and have it sent to her or even if it's sent to my but I list her as the customer, it charges her level of tax which is 1% higher than mine.
