I am looking for some online stores that do not have outrageous shipping prices.
Most stores shipping prices are $6.95 or more. If you have some websites that have reasonable shipping rates please post them here. Thanks soo much!
I buy quite a bit from 123 Stitch. They have lots of brands of stamps and other supplies. They have My Favorite Things, Penny Black, Hero Arts and others.
Their service is very good and quick. Prices are great and shipping is super reasonable. Here is a link:
$6.95 is only unreasonable if you are ordering small, light items that COULD go first class if only if it were offered. It's not unreasonable when you order three pounds of cardstock, and that offsets when all you order is a pack of pearls.
Anyhow, A Cherry on Top has lower rates, depending on what you purchase, plus coupons. Other than that, I have a hard time finding too many sites that have low shipping for just one or two items, so I often buy single items on eBay.
Overstock.com has stamping/scrapbooking supplies, but not maybe the latest and greatest. I've gotten some good deals there, and their shipping is only $2.99. Sometimes they send previous customers an email with free shipping for a limited time, too.

Scrap-Mart ships Spellbinders , Justrite, Copics and some other things FREE. There is no minimum purchase .
I try not to abuse the free shipping with orders for one thing, but occasionally I only need one thing and it is great to get free shipping.
They also have a monthly 40% off coupon for one item . There are a few restrictions on the coupon . They ship very fast and provide a tracking number. I am very happy with them
Another place that has free or reasonable shipping is Chic and Savvy . Amber ships all dies and stamps free . Shipping is very fast ! Service outstanding
I registered for JoAnns and put up with the daily email bombardment so I can get the free or penny shipping offers.
They just had a 2 day free shipping with no minimum.
For holidays they often have penny shipping. For the 4th of July they had 4 cent shipping with no minimum..
I generally buy heavy things such as CuttleBug cutting plates when they have free shipping
If you plan your purchases you can minimize the shipping costs..
The Postal rates went through the roof in January so it is a problem for us and merchants

Varies up to $100 then free but almost everything on the large site is discounted; sales are flat fee of $6.99n- fast shipping stampingscrapping.com
Ellen Hutson's freight varies but if you buy 2 consecutive months you qualify for their frequent buyer program and a 15% discount on your order - so it covers the postage at least.
I agree with the online Joann's sales -- Stamps and supplies often on sale at 25 to 40% off

One of the problems I have with minimum purchases of $50-$60 or more to qualify for free shipping is I realized that when I "found" things to bump up the total to qualify for free shipping I frequently bought things I seldom if ever used.
For me that is no savings.
I prefer to pay the shipping on just what I want and occasionally I do pay the shipping or full price at a store .

I keep a long wish list of stamping stuff (re-inkers, dies, Copics, stamps, etc.) in my Favorites. When I need to get to that magic number for free shipping, looking through my wish list usually gets it done without wasted purchases.
Oozak.com has free shipping over $50.
I wait months and months in between to be sure I have enough in the shopping cart for free shipping. Otherwise I just leave the cart and wait a while longer. This doesn't work for everyone. Be sure to note in the store's comment section NOT to ship until all things in the cart are in stock. Otherwise, you might be waiting and waiting again until you have another $50 worth of stuff you want in your cart.
Free shipping on everything: Welcome to Tilda's Town - Your Magnolia Stamp Superstore
(but their prices on everything is a teeny bit higher).
Free shipping over $75 for first purchase: MarkerPOP Online Store | MarkerPOP.com and then over $50 for second purchase I think (I haven't made a second purchase yet).
Free shipping over $40: New Products : C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps, Cleverly cute stamps and dies
free shipping over $50: Gina K. Designs, LLC
Free shipping over $70: Papertreyink
and...don't forget about Amazon.
I can't think of anymore that haven't been mentioned...oh!
Free shipping over $50: Shipping (and $49.99 or less, shipping is $2)
I registered for JoAnns and put up with the daily email bombardment
I register and sign up for all the newsletters and emails from all my favourite companies BUT once I start receiving them, I send them to the spam folder. When I think of something I want to buy, I go into my spam folder to see if that company is or will be having a sale or special.
I love oozaks. If there are only a few things I want, which is hardly ever the case, I either wait until I have the minimum or my friend and I go in on it together. That way I am not buying things just to buy them.
Franticstamper.com adjusts shipping because her cart calculates by weight. I've never paid the actual amount of what the cart says. Her customer service is amazing and you get a free gift with every order so the inconvenience is worth it.
I'm careful to comparison shop on stores like Overstock because sometimes the prices are inflated so the cheap shipping is not a good value.
Also, I don't fall for the free shipping if merch is over a certain amount. I found I was buying more than I really wanted to get the cheaper shipping. I don't $6.95 is that high.
I have one of the bestproducts drawers that have plastic drawer guides. I bought a couple of sets to replace some broken guides and the shipping was more than the guides. I decided not to buy anymore of the drawers because of high shipping.
I personally only shop at online stores that offer free shipping, I only have 1 store I buy from that never offers it but I have never paid more then 3 dollars shipping there so it doesn't bother me too bad. I hate and refuse to pay shipping. Whatever the min is, I will hit it or buy somewhere else.
Shipping of $6.95 is reasonable, unless you are ordering one item, well then it is not worth it.
I just ordered form Spellbinders Holidays 70% Super Sale. I wanted to receive the order early so I put in for paid shipping. For ONLY 2 dies sets it was $14.95 UPS Seriously. NOT!!
So I opted for their Free Shipping. Well now, that FREE Shipping Beat Amazon's Free Shipping Time!!!!! I was very Impressed!!!

Where is the Spellbinder's Holidays 70% Super Sale ?
It was on Cyber Monday for a selected "Few" Dies
It was on the Spellbinders site.
I found out about it following their Facebook

We offer free shipping at a certain amount, but stamp shipping starts at $2. I don't find 6.95 an unreasonable shipping rate depending on what you are ordering. If it is something like 12x12 papers, they are just ridiculously expensive to ship due to the size and fragile nature of them. If it is for a stamp set, then you are getting gypped.
I totally understand the feeling. I dislike paying for shipping (especially high/unreasonable shipping) and I dislike having to charge so much for shipping in my store. Post office/shipping rates have gone up so much, it's difficult on both sides.
Gonna say...haters will hate...I think SU's shipping is RIDICULOUS! And, I do order from them tooooo much. I especially HATE when I pay for 2nd day and it STILL takes 4+ days to get it!!!
I have Amazon Prime and get FREE 2 day shipping...well worth it when you want something YESTERDAY you get QUICK! And their customer service is BEYOND reproach! If something is wrong with your order they go outta their way to make it right....without begging.
Perhaps SU's recent "BLITZ" MAJOR issues have me jaded....but, why are some things that were already in clearance NOW higher priced they were BEFORE the BLITZ?! I put in a "party" order and yet still have to have it straightened out!!!
I get stitchery supplies from a source that offers numerous choices for shipping: first class with insurance, 1st with out insurance (what I use), 2 day, etc, etc. I wish more companies did this.
I can live with SU's shipping if I let my demo place the order-I get a few things and there isn't the $6.95 minimum if I ordered myself on her website.

SayStampsPlease, if you paid for expedited shipping and your package didn't arrive when it was supposed to, SU will straighten it out and refund your expedited cost. Or UPS will take care of it. In almost 10 years (I've been a demo for 9.5 years), I've ONCE not gotten my expedited package on time and they refunded the cost I paid for expediting. :-)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Scrapbookpal.com. They have free shipping for orders over $25! If it's under $25, it's $5.95. Their prices are *excellent* as well! They don't have everything, but they have a ton of great stuff and I always look there first when I need something that's not SU.
I love Blitsy's prices, but they don't have free shipping. Simon Says Stamp has a huge variety of stuff, but their free shipping doesn't start til $75. Also, they seem to have stuff out of stock frequently. If you take a class from Online Card Classes, you get a discount code to use for a generous period of time from SSS. Their prices are quite a bit higher than Scrapbook Pal.
Just my take on things!! :-)

I don't like paying shipping either but someone has to do the paying. If the prices of the goods are reasonable then I don't mind paying shipping if it is also reasonable.
When I stop and think about all the incidental costs to the merchant I sometimes wonder how they make any money. They must pay their cost for the goods plus the shipping to get it and then when we purchase they must pay for our use of a credit card or paypal. Then they have to pay for the packaging and the postage. And someone has to do the work of putting the package together (time is money) and seeing that it reaches the post office. And that isn't even taking into account the cost involved in being business such as taxes, wages, and the cost of a building to do business in.
So I guess I need to revise my statement that I don't like paying shipping to I don't like being overcharged for shipping.
Many, many companies in the US offer free shipping (with minimum purchase) but that offer does not apply most times to those of us who live in Canada. So the best I can do is look for the cheapest shipping.
I live over an hour away from the nearest source for paper crafts. So which is cheaper two hours of gas for my car and over two hours of my time or shipping costs. And after I drive all that way will they have what I want?
Call me lazy because I am and I am willing to pay for that.

I'm thinking that with packaging, they can buy that in bulk, and if they are in the US and using Priority shipping, the postman picks it up. That's all though - the rest I imagine is pretty costly!
some companies just add a certain amount to the price of product - that way they can afford to offer free shipping when you spend over certain amount...
Linda is right - traveling all around your area to find what you need can add up to more that the actual shipping cost - not only gas, but your time is valuable too and if you are like me, you'll probably spend more during your outing (see other stores, find something interesting, then you get hungry, thirsty... )
