I apparently love some stamp sets and supplies so much, I accidentally order multiples of them in the same order! It's bad enough buying duplicates at separate times, but at the same time??! I've done this about 6 times in the past few years! Now I always double check my orders before i place them to make sure the quantity says ONE. Well apparently I need glasses, because I received an order today with two of the same MFT sets. And sure enough on my invoice, it shows I ordered and paid for two. My goodness. My mom who is a crafter is the lucky recipient of my mistakes, lol.
The priciest mistake so far was years ago when SU sold the watercolor wonder crayons by color family. I can't remember how much they were, but they were enough. I have NO IDEA how i did this and did not catch it, but I ordered 4 of the same set instead of 1! I'm even a demo and did this! I don't know how my total didn't seem quite a bit off to me. I saw that I met my minimum and hit purchase. They made great gifts for people, but that was the start of this recurring issue I have! I think I just get so excited during the process of picking things out so I rush to check out, as if that will somehow get the stamps to me sooner!
Anyone else guilty of this too?

Not only stamps, but other supplies! If I leave my cart for two minutes, this is likely to happen. I now go over my cart contents SLOWLY before checking out.
Sounds like you are just doing a finger flub on quantity section. Take your time before you hit submit order and double check quantity amount per item anr order total. This has happened to me many times but I always caught it before I hit submit because I know the total of order is wrong .;)

I usually bookmark each item when I'm shopping a site. Eventually, I start throwing them in an order (but I'm finished shopping and can concentrate on the order itself (and that dreaded $$$ total at the end).
I have done this at least twice recently. Some websites make it easier for this to happen, if they don't have a big visual "added to cart" message, for example. Sometimes I'm not sure I clicked add to cart but rather than checking first I just click it again. Then I forget to verify that my qty is 1 before I check out.
I still do have a problem with ordering the same item on different occasions, even with the inventory list I keep, but it happens much less frequently than it had been before I made the list.
Unbelievable! Within minutes of writing my 'sage' advice above - I placed an order and ordered 2 of the same die! Blame it on being in a hurry. Next sage advice is to take your time when ordering.
Oh my this is too funny... I have order some things twice but not on the same order!! Whew, that can be a costly mistake or shopping ahead for gifts!! LOL
Sure. My friends have gotten a lot of gifts that way. By the time I mail it back etc. it isn't worth it.
Bless them, DRS contacted me when they saw one item at 2 and the rest at 1 to confirm. They were right. I absolutely carefully go over orders now. More than once. Usually because during a sale I throw everything I like in the cart, and then have to go back and pare it down again and again. Or stuff sells out so I am juggling.
I really try to avoid late night orders now too. I am often up at night and they will send out a sale email at midnight....so I get started....I believe that is one way I manage duplicates despite my inventory lists and accidental multiples on an order. If I wouldn't drive a vehicle, I don't place online orders now. LOL
Lastly...the wishlist! I always advocate to have one, but they are NOT helpful if you don't take stuff OFF them when you buy it!! I used to wait for it arrive to do that, but then I would forget. So now if I order it, off it comes immediately. If they don't have it I can put it back on when the order arrives. Esp general supplies-I could order an ink pad (like versamark) in 20+ different places...so even if I looked at my past orders, I might not see it to avoid it.
curiosity got the best of me. I just had to Google and see what they were. So cute!
Aren't they! they just make me giggle when I see them, and my nickname of my DH is Boobie [his name is Bob and a friend mistyped his name on Facebook and it stuck ]
I wish I could rearrange the order of items in my shopping cart (possibly some companies do this already). It would help me organize my purchase and eliminate some of those duplicate orders!
I have ordered or purchased same items twice...my daughter usually gets a surprise gift (which she loves). I started a product notebook a year or so ago. This has helped me tons. I photo copy each die or stamp and put the copy of it in a small notebook as a reference. I use my notebook to jot down products that are of interest to me, where to purchase, or description of what I would use it for...kind of a product journal. I like to list some of the new releases and then go back...after I have thought about it...and order it if I still think I need it. Once the order is placed, I put a red ink check mark next to it so I know..."you already have this"! Works for me to eliminate the double purchase when I am out shopping, or at a trade show. I take the notebook with me to trade shows as my wishlist and compare pricing or get a good touch/feel and look at them. Way too OCD as my daughter would state...but, it works. I too now check the quantity more carefully for online orders.

I've done this a ton of times. Drives me nuts. If you catch it in time many companies will fix your mistake for you. Concord and 9th did it for me. Great customer service. So I always check the email receipt.
I find this usually happens because I'm impatient and it the 'add to cart' button more than once. So be careful about that.
