Help! I need an idea to make 26 small Christmas gifts for my coworkers this year. Just a little something to put in their mailboxes at work. Maybe something that wraps around a small candy bar or just about anything small, easy and reasonable investment. Thanks!!
Try these key chain post it notes, they are really easy to make, and I showed one to my sister, who works in an office, on the weekend and she loves them. I used the card rings (they are individual binder rings) instead of the key ring and my sis said that she prefered the card ring over the key ring. HTH.
I'm making these little bookmarks for my co-workers and am going to personalise each one - eg a dog one for a dog-owner, flowers for a gardener, etc. They're reasonably quick to make and don't cost much either.
How about some hot cocoa cups? I decorated these travel disposable coffee cups and filled them. You could even make some homemade marshmallows to go inside! here's my sample:
I think your idea of a wrapped candy bar is fitting. I know that i wouldn't want to have to soend more money than necessary on people I work with(if I worked!). You can buy candy bars in bulk at Costco, Smart and Final, Sam's Club, etc. If you have a paper crimper you can crimp the ends of the paper.
I'm selling little "candy baskets" with kisses at my craft fairs this season. Just wanted to have something little/inexpensive and good for "favors." You could personalize them with a bow and tag to dress them up a bit.

I found some small Christmas boxes, for under a $1.00, and I am going to make Christmas tags, and then other tags for the rest of the year. With some curly ribbon, and other embellishments, these will make some cute gifts.

I always loved the swirled old fashioned candy sticks... you can take a scalloped circle (cut with the big shot die) and attach ribbon to each end and place the candy sticks in the middle of the scalloped circle and then tie it and place a cute tag on top... To make sure the candy sticks do not fall out, tie the candy sticks together and then attach to the scalloped circle with a small glue dot!
You can get the candy sticks at oriental trading - 80 for 9.98... not bad and it looks so cute coupled with the Winter Post stamp set! Click here for the link: Oriental Trading Company's Candy Sticks

How about a recipe card and a cookie or two to go with it. Or recipes for slow cooker ideas or quick and easy meal idea. Always hard to think of what to do for dinner with work, family, life, etc.

I love the video for the post it note holders. Question - how do you get the paper off the post-it? It looks like you're going to have to rip it off as it is hole punched in the corner. Has anyone else seen another way to make them without hole punching through the post-it note pad?
Last year I wrapped candy bars and put this Christmas fudge poem on top.
I planned to make a batch this year
But schedules would not budge.
So here's this year's edition of
homemade Christmas fudge.
There was no secret recipe
No mess or dough to fix
Just Christmas wishes wrapped in love,
The perfect chocolate fix!
I got the poem somewhere it was really long and based on "Jingle Bells" so tweaked it for myself. Feel free to tweak away for yourself!
Good luck!
You are all so nice to help with ideas. I found so many that now my problem is picking which one to make this year!!!!! That is the kind of problem I love to have!! haha
thanks for sharing all of your ideas, friends! i have 100+ co-workers and am debating doing something to stick in their mailboxes?? we'll see if i have time!!
Yes, you have to tear it a bit, but you also don't have to worry about it falling out, like some just taped in do after a while. I use mine all the time!
Hello...
I have to agree with the sour cream container suggestion. When you are talking about that many employees- keep it easy or you will be NUTTS!!!
Get a pretty basket and decorate it up- fill the basket with holiday paper decorated sour cream containers with some Peppermint Patties, Andres Mints or even truffles inside.Put thewm in their mailboxes or better yet- pass them out. It would make a big hit that you took the time to "treat" everyone!!! I would appreciate that.
Let us know what you decide on & best of luck with your project.

I think the Bookmark 2009 calendar is a great gift. It's really a hit at my church for people to put in their Bibles. Here is the link for the calendar template. It uses the long nestabilitie die. I love it!!
Hello again...
I hapeened to think of an idea I did a few years back for school.
I dipped pretzel rods in choc, sprinkles, nuts, etc. then wrapped them in cellophane bags. You could make the bag toppers as suggested previously but, it would be easier to just tie with ribbon or jute ropping. Make up a cute Christmas phrase for your tags- WALAAAAAAHHH- it's a "Martha" moment- lol!!!

I made peppermint patty sandwiches by using the SU scalloped snowflake stamp that says "celebrate the season". I stamped on white cardstock with ballet blue and put a rhinestone in the middle. No pic, but you get the idea. I put two of these in a clear cello bag with a topper that's stamped To: From:

really nice idea. Is there directions for them?
TIA,

We just used a bunch of Halloween candy to make flowers for the teachers at school. I stamped the big blossom stamp, my youngest cut it out, my husband cut holes in the center, we pushed suckers through the hole and then my oldest double sided sticky taped tootsie rolls to the petals. They turned out really cute, and the teachers loved them when I stuck them in their boxes. We didn't identify ourselves as the creators, but somehow many of them knew...
The other thing my kids did with some Halloween candy was they used butterfingers because they have yellow wrappers and made a star on a big piece of cardboard. Then they made the star look like it was shooting with the green tootsie roll things. They gave this to the principal - our school is the Northridge Superstars. Turned out cute.
You guys all have the best ideas! I'll need to remember this post for Sunday school teacher ideas.
