Default My Christmas List

is going to be HUGE this year! haha!

I'm SO digging this website and it is inspiring me to try new things every day. BUT! I don't have many supplies. Othter than a basic rotary cutter and cardstock/paper.

What would you say are some of the main things I would NEED to really get my creativity off the ground? I guess...what are your favorite starter tools, gadgets, stamps, inks, etc?

How about the heat gun, embossing powders, and embossing buddy? Also the rubber scissors, stamp cleaning pad and mist, and lots of cool stamps??? Check out the Creative Memories scrapbook site for some cool tools - personal cutter, wave cutter and straight cutters, the oval and round templates - they all help me create cool cards and pages.

I am a Stampin' Up! girl. I just love their products. Excellent quality and a great selection. You will definitely need a Stampin' Scrub and Mist to clean your stamps, a good basic stamp set or two and some ink. I like their
Designer Series Paper and paper snips as well. A lot of the cool, samples and ideas incorporate designer papers like the 3D stars, paper bows, cards, scrapbook pages, gift bags, altered frames, etc. I have been going through a lot of that myself.

Some other helpful supplies are a bone folder, a white gel pen, ribbon or cording and some good adhesive - I like the SNAIL adhesive, mini glue dots and sticky strip.

Eventually, you could add to your collection with some markers or more ink pads and some aqua painters or blender pens to start doing some watercoloring with.

Start off with good quality supplies and you will have them forever. I have had my stampin' scrub (stamp cleaning pad) for almost 6 years now and I have never had to replace the pads. I use it almost daily and it has held up incredibly well. Just rinse off the extra ink when it needs to be cleaned, let dry overnight and use it again the next day...

Good luck with your wish list. They sure can get long. Just think basic to start with and then go in the direction of what interests you to add to your collection.

You can check out my blog for what I have been doing for the holidays at www.learntostampandscrap.com.
