Default Mounting question

A while ago, someone mentioned not remounting their stamps for acrylic blocks, rather just clipping a corner off the backing of the SU stamps so a little adhesive showed, and they used it like that. Anyone remember who that was??

I want to know how well that works for them....I've got ONE SU set that I have not mounted yet, and I'm not sure if I want to yank it off it's backing and remount it...

I leave the backing on the stamps and use a bit of double sided tape on the acrylic block to secure the stamp temporarily. I know it seems too easy, but it works for me.
