Mailing a spinner card?

I'm planning to make a spinner card this week for a birthday(my first one).......but got to wondering how well it would hold up going through the mail. Do they still function when they arrive or is this just a card you can give "in person"?

I used a regular envelope and had to pay an extra 12 cents b/c it would not fit through a slot they checked at the P.O.

All arrived just fine!

I also paid an additional .12 cents. To protect the front of the card, I cut a piece of bubble wrap (the little bubbles) and put over the card. That made it a little more bulky but didn't increase postage any.

I was worried too. I was afraid a regular envelope could rip open or the card would be ruined, so I sent mine in a bubble envelope. It cost more to send but I felt more secure. I'd love to know if the regular envelopes work. Could save some pennies (use those to make more spinners!).
