Default Help!!! Organization tips needed!!!

OK, so I'm exaggerating a bit. But here's the deal. Through working as a manufacturer's rep and collecting with Michael's and AC Moore coupons (please don't tar and feather me, LOL) I have a stash of stamps. Some clear, some rubber. It was important for a while to keep them separated by manufacturer, but now I need a new system. Should I sort by theme? All sentiments together. Animals, flowers, stars, etc. I mostly keep them in Iris carts and stuff like that. Oh, and then there's my inks. Ranger, Superior (Memories), Tsukineko, etc.

Any ideas seasoned collectors?
thanks

I separate all my SU! stamps by catagory ... background, nature, kids/baby, animals and bugs, holidays, occasions, etc. Those are all on a very large bookcase.

Then I have all my clear stamps and unmounted in a separate bin -- I have just started to acquire these so my collection fits fine. Eventually I like the idea of putting clear stamps in a three ring binder.

And single mounted stamps are in a second bin. Again, I don't have too many of these so this works fine for now. I see my clear stamp collection growing faster than the wood mounted single stamps.

Hope that helps some I have pictures on my blog of my craft area and my bookshelf if you want to take a peek!

I keep my UM separate from my mounted stamps but everything is sorted by category ---- except for sets like SU or Close to my Heart - those are sorted by size of the box and alphabetically (which is NOT perfect but it's what I use right now)
