Hi there! I'm in the COS area currently and really the only two stores I know of are Archivers on N. Academy and a place called Simple Pleasures off Academy. I can get you the addresses if you need them. We have the usual Hobby Lobby, etc here as well. Have a great time! Garden of the Gods is beautiful! And in Sept, it should have cooled down some. Our high today is 99!!
I just got back from Colorado Springs. I went to all of the places mentioned and they are wonderful. I also went to a store in Pueblo, CO which is about 45 minutes south of Colorado Springs. I posted a comment about how wonderful the store is and gave its address and phone number. Go to the seach for this forum and type in Pueblo, CO and it should come up. I probably enjoyed that store the most out of all the ones I visited. It is called Colorado Stampin' and Scrappin'.
We just got back from Colorado Springs a couple weeks ago. I visited Hobby Lobby and Archiver's. We go every summer and this year I decided not to go to Simple Pleasures because of time constraints so I had to choose. Wouldn't you know they had a storewide sale starting the day after we left. Last year I placed an order with Creative Impressions (internet retailer) and they let me pick up my order. It was fun talking to them, telling them I shopped at their store when they had a retail shop and they gave me some ribbon ends and embellishments. Some of the ribbon was a few inches long and others were a couple yards long. This year I started my collection of Happy Hoppers and Gruffies and added to my Nestabilities collection. I used coupons for all of them at Hobby Lobby. I really wish we had one here in California.

There is a small but WONDERFUL stamp store in Old Colorado City on the way to Manitou Springs. I don't know the address but here is their website. Give them a holler and I'm sure they will be pleased to let you know where they are. I go every time in COS just to wonder at their samples! http://hollyberryhouse.com/
I found the address for the shop in Old Colorado City: 2409 West Colorado Avenue. The store front is all about needlepoint, but when you go into the shop and go to the back, you will see all the beautiful Holly Berry House stamps and samples. They offer classes and they actually make the stamps there. I wish they offered seconds. Enjoy!
Do take the time to go to Holly Berry House! The owners are very nice and their stamps are gorgeous! It's located in a nice older part of Old Colorado City. Simple Pleasures has a good inventory of current products. We have Hobby Lobby, Michael's and JoAnn's here as well as an Archiver's and Big Lots.
