I love my Cinch. If the hole shape matters, the Cinch comes in round or square.

I have a bind it all. Does a great job and is very sturdy/solid - I think it will outlast me LOL.

I don't know about the Cinch because, since I already had and was happy with my BIA, I did not need to purchase the Cinch when the Cinch came out.

Either will work. I have them both. I paid 30 for the bind it all on Craigslist and I got the Cinch for 20 on Craigslist. Try looking on CL and maybe you'll get luck and find one really cheap. I like them both actually.

I have an old bind it all and the holes are little rectangles. The Cinch that I have are round holes. Cinch makes one that is square or rectangle as well.

Good luck, but I'd look on CL first. You may get lucky!!

I love the Cinch. It can do binding from very small to large. I am sure that you will be happy with either one but since I do a lot of books, I find the Cinch is better.
Merry Christmas!

I too am looking to get a binding machine. My old thing finally bit the dust after 10-15 years.
I've read this thread, and this one: Bind it all or Cinch? by ScappyEthel1 at Splitcoaststampers
I also read the product reviews on Amazon, and watched videos from both companies. Whew:!:

I've decided on the Cinch with square holes and Amazon. I did a price search on Google and that's the best I've found. I'm going to put it on my Christmas list

I used to have a BIA then I got a Cinch (should I say I permanently borrowed my moms). For me, the Cinch wins, no contest really. I love that it is extra big and the paper lies flat, not standing up. With the BIA is was super hard for me to line up the paper and get the holes in the same spot. I also tried using the book-binding setting, forgot it. I got the BIA originally because I thought I liked the square holes better than the round ones, but now I could care less.

I think I'm not caring about round holes either. The retail at Hobby Lobby is $119.00 with a 40% coupon that's $47.00. On Amazon the square hole machine is $95.00

To me, the square holes are not worth it!
