Hello, welcome to Splitcoast!
I’ve stamped on silk in the past - nothing big or wearable, just on scraps. It’s like any fabric, the results you get will depend on how close the weave is etc. Using an ink that’s suitable and won’t “wick” too much is key so you really want a pigment ink. Versacraft is a good fabric all-rounder, you can make it permanent on fabric by ironing with a cool, non-steam iron once it’s dry. Brilliance also works pretty well. Your stamped impression is likely to go through to the back of your piece so you need to have the fabric on something like scrap paper when you stamp and you need to keep the fabric flat and taut. Pre-wash and iron it flat before you start stamping to make sure there’s no dress g in the fabric and no unwanted wrinkles where you want to stamp.
