Default Baby wipes vs swiffer cloths

I was playing with my Pearl Ex this morning - I've tried the color in with future wax and loved that. I wanted to try brushing it over versamark and wiping it off, but I didn't have any swiffer cloths and didn't want to make a trip to the store at that hour.

There on my desk was a dried out baby wipe that had been left out by one of my kids. I thought, what the heck. So I stamped, brushed and wiped with the baby wipe. Great success.

Having never used the swiffer cloth, I can't compare, but my results were wonderful with the baby wipe.

Let me say again - this was a DRY baby wipe. I'm sure it wouldn't work with a wet one!

The beauty of the swiffer or pledge wipe is that it holds an enormous amount of PE. You can shake and shake and it never lets go of a drop. I've used baby wipes as cleaning clothes for years (long before Clorox decided to put cleaning fluid in them) and I know they do let go of the dirt and what not if shaken too hard.

I am amazed at what we come up with to use for stamping. Floor wax, shaving cream, bleach, dryer sheets, swiffer clothes, baby wipes, paper clips, wax paper, irons. It truly boggles the mind.

I've always used just a plain old kleenex to wipe up Pearl Ex. Works just fine. Doesn't hold as much as a swiffer, but that doesn't affect how well it works in cleaning off the excess on your cardstock.
