I just did chocolate covered pretzel rods for my sis-in-laws baby shower. I just bought the rods, some bakers chocolate, melted in double boiler (if u don't have one just use a metal bowl over a saucepan), dip rods in chocolate about half way up, set on cookie sheets lined with wax or parchment paper. You can put them in fridge to set a bit. Don't do them until a day or two before shower. Craft stores sell longer bags specifically for pretzel rods. We added a little detail by also melting white chocolate chips and piping a swirly design over the chocolate. Also to go with the fairy tale theme, we added stars to the top and ribbon to the bottom to make it look like a magic wand. Took us maybe a 1/2 hour to do the dipping for 50 favors, then maybe an hour of wrapping, tying ribbon, etc.

I found some small 4 oz bottles at the $ store, and put jellybeans in them, then stamped some tags to tie on with curly ribbon.

Do you have a picture of that. She is decorating her nursery in fairies and this sounds cool. I cant picture the stars, etc. But it sounds adorable.

I have taken triangular shapes of flannel fabric (with baby print on it) and folded them like a diaper, secured with a small safety pin and filled with mints.

I collected small baby food jars from freecycle, cut a 1" strip of double sided designer paper (SU) and wrapped it around the center of the jar. I also tied on some raffia, then put a tealight in each one.

Maybe make a rattle using a scallop or circle punch on top of a sucker?

You could use Lauren Meader's downloadable stocking here http://www.papertreyink.com/timeless_templates.html and make it look like a sock... Blogs at Splitcoaststampers scroll down to the baby sample. DARLING!

My friend made a bunch of tiny chocolate teddies bears from a candy mold. Then I put a few in a small cello bag with a pink ribbon and a pink and brown teddy bear (stamped, of course) tag. Took no time at all and the guests thought they were very cute.

I wanted to do more than 1 favor because the shower is very small and intimate (only 6 people, she already had a large shower) but I ran out of time, had a sick kid, etc. So here is what I decided to do:

shower favors

They will have a york peppermint patty in-between each one to make a "sandwich". I saw this in the gallery but I don't remember where. So appreciate everyone's help. Everyone has such great ideas, which I'm going to bookmark because several of my friends are pregnant.

The peppermint patty sandwiches are a good idea! Cute and simple!

I made nugget boxes for my friends shower. They were not quick or very simple but I loved how they came out!

They are adorable. I like them. I'll maybe try them next shower if I am involved in hosting. Thanks for sharing!

For the Nugget Boxes....there is tons of info and templates to be found here Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Nugget chocolates are found at most bulk stores, I live in Canada, so I can't really suggest a name of a store for you.
