Just because it says 2015 doesn't mean it's only for 2015. Since people are already subscribed to this thread, I would think it's best just to go on like we are.
Anybody else have an opinion?

I love this thread and the big hearted ladies on it!! More then that the fun things we are all allowed to share even the chit chat that doesn't cost anything but finger excersizeLOL

Starting a 2016 thread now. Please post here: //www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/general-stamping-talk-f17/2016-pay-forward-thread-t606478.html#post21147495 for all future PIFs. Happy New Year!

contrapat 01-02-2016 05:14 PM

So, does this mean you're closing this thread?

sek111sbc 01-02-2016 06:55 PM

you know you could have just edited the title...lol

TeeGeeDee 01-02-2016 07:05 PM

I'm pretty surw only thread titles in certain forums can be edited (without a moderator). Also, I don't think a thread actually closed ... more like it becomes inactive because folks will post on the new thread.

Off to subscribe to the 2016 thread!

contrapat 01-03-2016 07:50 AM

Yes, I'm fairly sure threads can be closed, after which you are not able to post on it anymore. As far as I know, it can be closed by the original poster, and also (I think) after a certain number of posts- and 5000 comes to mind, but don't quote me on that- it automatically closes. I've seen swap threads closed by the hostess after all swapping has finished, so the hostess doesn't have to keep track of the thread any longer.
Either way, since the choice was made to start a new thread, so be it.

hotwheels 01-03-2016 11:54 AM

Do we know thread closed yes or no? thanks hotwheels

contrapat 01-03-2016 12:32 PM

Well, obviously, if it is still possible to post, the thread is not closed. Whether the original poster chooses to do that is up to her.

biblesistersmom 01-04-2016 11:55 AM

Hotwheels, the original poster has started a new thread for 2016.

Hotwheels, here it is!

biblesistersmom 01-04-2016 11:58 AM

The original poster left this one open in case there were some giveaways that hadn't been resolved yet.

Last post from me I promise.

Scrapjanny 01-05-2016 04:35 AM

Hi there. I'm the original poster, and I did start a 2016 thread. I believe that threads can have 5000 posts, and then you mist start a new one. I left this one open for "unfinished business" from 2015. Please post all new PIFs in the new thread here: 2016 Pay It Forward Thread Thanks!

ETA: I believe that only mods can change the title. After a short period of time, members can't edit posts.

Scrapjanny 01-06-2016 02:58 PM

Please note that as of this Saturday, Jan. 9. 2016, this thread will be closed. Please post all future communication about any PIFs that are being carried over to this year in the 2016 PIF thread. Thanks!
