Send a PM to the person offering and if no one has beat you to it - then you will get it. If you have anything that you no longer want, you can list it here. Photos or links of the items is good. The person offering pays shipping unless otherwise indicated.

Question???

I have a question that I hope you can help me with. I have some wooden stamps that I would like to share. My only problem is that I can't drive due to Meniere's, so when I have to mail something, I kind of have to guess at the weight and use stamps. I'm wondering how much postage in stamps I should put on a single wooden stamp; I know they would weigh much less than a pound. I know some of you have made postage on items like this and wondered if you had a general range that would probably cover it. The wooden stamps I'm speaking of are the general size of the larger stamp in a SU set. Most are like 3x2 1/2 or smaller. I'm guessing that 6 stamps would probably cover the larger one, and 5 would cover the smaller ones. What do you think? I've tried making sense of the postal chart I downloaded, clear as mud! :) If any of you mail out wooden stamps, I'd love to know what they cost in postage. I should probably invest in a little kitchen scale or something.
I also wanted to mention, that a couple of things I'm going to PIF soon are actually PIF's that I recieved earlier. Hope it is alright to reshare what was shared. :D I've enjoyed them, and would like someone else to get the chance to use them too.

Arlene_C 08-20-2015 04:04 AM

I would think that 5 stamps would be sufficient.
Re-Piffed items are great - that's what its all about! :)

Amaranthine 08-20-2015 05:50 AM

Chris, I'm getting out all my shipping supplies so I can package up everyone's goodies. I'll weigh a couple stamps and see what my scale says. I do know that since 9-11, the PO will not pick up anything over a pound from your mailbox. (If you ship priority and request carrier pickup, then they will) Years ago we bought a small postage scale from ebay. It was around $18 with free shipping. Not sure where the prices are now, but it sure comes in handy. And it works like a charm! Have you tried the 'calculate postage' at usps? Nifty little program!

Oh ya, what Arlene said about re-PIFing. They'll be new to us! :) I would rather see something I PIF'd back here than on ebay! lol. Course, I'm trying not to snag anything while going through all this stuff. Not easy when that Rudolph was available. ;-)

Amaranthine 08-20-2015 05:52 AM

Is this a forum that anyone on the net can see?

Call me silly, but I do worry about Carolyn's address in the thread.

Carolyn, your shipping label is printed so you can edit your post and delete your address if you want to.

Sorry, about the huge pictures. I don't know how to do the thumbnails.

Amaranthine 08-20-2015 06:12 AM

Those are wonderful! :)

Amaranthine 08-20-2015 06:17 AM

Chris, Using a stamp measuring 2x3 1/2, and a plastic coated bubble mailer (4x6), without extra bubble wrap, weighed in at 2.2 oz. So many variables here that this is only a guesstimate for ya.

hoptownracer1 08-20-2015 07:07 AM

Thank you so much!!! I think five stamps would definately cover it them! Thank you so much for doing that! :D

hotwheels 08-20-2015 10:02 AM

I have cricut but not that kind I wish I could use those I grab the heartbeat! Dose and any have anymore cricut charidge or may be new Annes griffin ones!!!
