I did 2 designs so far this year. I used Inkadinkado Christmas Silhouettes and embossed them. Here is the reindeer card, quick and easy:

This is what I call my "prototype" because I usually always change something about the first one. I think I have decided to go with a "knot" on the front as opposed to a bow, because it is just too bulky going into the envelope.

It must be lacking the "WOW" factor because it only got 2 comments (but 9 favorites) when I posted it here, LOL. But that's okay, I like it! It is hard to tell from the photo but I used Versamark and Gold EB Powder and it really sparkles IRL.

This link is to my blog, so you can see the inside of the card as well.

Here is my Christmas card for this year. I love this stamp and used glossy paper for the brayered sky.

I digi-scrapped mine this year!! Here is the front cover, I used Vistaprint.com to get them printed into 5x7 folded cards:

I used the "Holiday Magic" collection from the Shabby Princess to make this card. I really love how they turned out!!

I have been tossing in the air these three ideas. (Mainly, the first one and spicing it up a bit.) DH said that I need to do something less complicated this year. Geez!! What's the fun in that? lol!

BTW, there are some beautiful Christmas cards on here already!!! I'm trying to leave comments as cards are posted.

thanks!! Well, I am pretty new to "digi-scrapping". I have purchased a few sets, but have also found a few free ones to try. This was sort of my attempt at using them to make a card, so that I can see what they turn out like when printed. Anyway, here is the link to the template:

http://www.shabbyprincess.com/HolidayMagic.asp

I then used Adobe Photoshop to setup the card with our pic, and the layers that we wanted, etc. I have been fooling around in Photoshop for quite a few years now - I am really not that good - I only know a few things. But I think it was enough to achieve the results I was looking for.

thanks for looking, I hope that helped somewhat!!

Oh, sorry about that. I turned off that word verification thingy, 'cuz it's such a hassle for folks that wanna leave a comment, but, then that leaves you open to SPAM bots . . . and I read that if you set comments set to automatically close a week after posting, it actually helps reduce the SPAM from those dang bots because when one does land on there, you report it to the hosting service, and they can add the bot's IP to a ban list!

But, thank you, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed 'em!

Wow, so much inspiration! Emily, I love that picture with all those cards out on the table, amazing!!

Here's another link to some fun gnome Christmas cards I made a little while ago. My husband is partial to the gnomes, especially the second one down with the christmas tree paper.

actually it wasn't too bad, it was less than $1 per card, I ordered 50 cards. I was impressed with Vistaprints pricing! I can't wait to see how the printed cards turn out

one thing to note, if you are planning on doing digital cards on your own, I suggest using at least 300dpi so the quality is good

HTH!

I made this for my MIL and another family friend.

I was going to do Christmas cards this year but I got swamped with other stuff and couldn't do them. Well I probably still could, but then I'd be rushed.
