Default Possibly stupid SU Hostess Set question

I have a SU consultant, but I ask her lots of other dumb questions, so I thought I'd spare her from this one :-)

I love the Level 1 Hostess set in the holiday mini catalog. However, I will never host a workshop because I don't have any friends or acquaintances that are local. Plus, I use a demonstrator who is halfway across the country from me.

But, I really want that set! Can you technically place a $150 order and get a Hostess set? Or do you have to play strictly by the rules and host a workshop that meets the $150 minimum?

Thanks for indulging me!

If your personal order reaches $150 you get all the benefits of that. Free hostess set and free merchandise

I have had my own "private" workshop more than once so I could earn a hostess set, and I usually have done it during Sell-a-bration time. It's actually kinda nice to get that box and know it's all mine! ... By the way, the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked. :-)

Not sure what you are looking to spend but if you place an order of at least $350 you earn an additional $25 in free merchandise :-) Order needs to be in by the end of the month

I just recently read a thread where a customer placed an order on the general SU site and not through the demo's site and did not receive hostess benefits. You probably already know this but make sure to order through your demo's site to get those benefits!!

I have never hosted a workshop. I AM a workshop all on my own

I've always gotten the hostess sets and extra $$ to spend.

I order through my demo though.

Oh! One more question: does the $150 purchase have to be all from the holiday mini to get the holiday mini hostess set? Or can it be $150 in product from the main catalog and the holiday mini?

Well the holiday mini isn't active until September 1 but other than that you are correct. And you can use your earned free merchandise in the mini too :-)

Actually, she wants the hostess set in the Holiday Mini which she cannot order from until Sep 1. Too bad she'll miss the opportunity for an extra $25! Oh well, can't win them all!;)

It can be from the Mini or the Large Catty, so the answer is yes.

Yes you can be a party of your own--I do this all the time--have never hosted a party and my demo lives somewhere in the US and not near me at all.

Yes you can order from both catalogs to get your hostess set and the clearance rack and whatever else they happen to have available on line.

And yes make sure you order from your demos direct site--for my last order I signed into stampin up from their website using my demos name--and yep--no hostess sets or other freebies. I was so confused and had forgotten you were supposed to do it another way to get the freebies. So, I called Stampin Up and explained--and mentioned that the site was really poorly designed if it does that and not give you the freebies---and then the kind gentleman gave me some codes and things and told me to figure out what I wanted and to call back with my codes etc. So I did and got all my goodies---only weird thing is that it came by the US Postal services instead of UPS. But I got all my goodies so that is all that mattered to me.

Have fun being a party of one!!

I love being able to order though my demo's site, I've got to get scrambling to get my order in this month!
