My 11 year old daughter just had a sleepover this weekend! shew! I let them make matboard journals ! Wow they loved it! I know this really doesn't fit the pool theme, but what if you did it before anyone jumped in? If you have a poloroid (lana had a really cool one at convention that made little tiny pics) they could take pictures of them jumping in the pool or write notes to each other. They also loved anything at all with the paris is spring set. They even stamped the little poodle on themselves for a tatoo! They had a blast!

A summery, decorated journal with black pages and a gel pen.
A cello bag w/topper that has lipgloss, glitter, candy, etc in it.
Let them decorate a trapezoid box! You could use the idea Stampinshelly had and use a polaroid picture for them to use to decorate it. They can use alpha sets to put their name on it. (I know this may be hard to do for a pool party).
Use stazon and decorate plastic tumblers for them to use at the party and then take home...include a cool straw with it. Or maybe decorate water bottles?
That's all I can think of right now...I have a 9 year old son, so sometimes it's hard for me to think girly!
Have fun at the party!

I think it would be cute to embellish cheap, but colorful, flip flops with shrink art and beads.

Ohhhhh! I like the flip flop idea! I wish I had a girl to plan a party for!
You are going to have soooo much fun!
The kind of parties I've had for my son were fun for him and his friends, but a challenge for me to plan...He had 'the snake guy' from the nature center bring his snakes for the kids to hold, he had a pool party at one of the hotels with a 'Lord of the Rings' theme...very BOY!

The water bottle idea reminded me of an idea I have heard of but not tried...a water/soda bottle charm like the wine glass charms. Stamp a cute name tag on polyshrink and then using a jewlery loop (whatever those are called) attach it to a ponytail holder.

I've done a search here and on the internet. Does anyone have any instructions on the water bottle charms? I think that would be a fun project to do with kids.

Do you have Simple Shapes or Simply Circles? You could go with a "bubble" type design with Tempting Turquoise paper, TT and Brilliant Blue ink and do some type of little cover for packages of goldfish, gummy fish. etc, with a little tag that says "Dive in!" or something like that.
I also like the flip flop idea (and they should be on clearance cheap right now!)... I've seen them done with fabric cut into strips with pinking shears and just tied in knots around the rubber thong part of the flip flop so that the fabric makes a fringe.
Do kids still like making those blue oil/water things? I used to love those. Maybe that could be a sort of make-n-take craft? I guess you could use empty water bottles or baby jars and float some plastic fish or swimmers in there.
