? Plumbers Gasket
Is this what everyone gets to use with the nestabilities for embossing, in place of the tan mat?
Thanks, grannypat

That's what I use. I found it in the local hardware store. I'm having good results with it.

ouch
That hurts! I'm so sorry. I read this a little while back, and I was just thinking today and trying to remember if this is what it was. I think it's only a couple of dollars or something cheap. Hope to have more replys.
Thanks, grannypat

So what does this thing look like? I'm guessing it's a flat mat-shaped thing, but are there any more details you can pass on to me?

Mine came 2 in a pack and its a flat square thin piece of rubber in an orange color. Not sure of the size....5x7 maybe??
Im not home or I would measure for you.
It was in the section of Home Depot where the sink stoppers were.

I got mine at Home Depot ... flat reddish-orange thin piece of rubber about the size of cuttlebug pads and had 2 in the package. I just asked one of the clerks where to find them and they took me right to them.

Guess what I just found out by mistake of course.
I accidentally put 3 pieces of card stock on top while I was cutting (I was in a hurry and cutting and embossing many at the same time). And the cut piece came out embossed! I could not beleive it!!
So everytime I want a piece embossed, I just add those 3 pieces of card stock at the sametime I am cutting and I cut and emboss in one step. Now I am kicking myself for spending the money on the embossing mats.
Wish someone would have told me about this sooner!!
Hope this tip saves someone money!

Sorry for the high-jack, but it is topic related.
I have the CB but have no idea what the tan mats are for. Do you have to have them to cut? I mostly do the embossing folders and barely know how to do that.

The tan matts are to use for embossing with the nestablities.
For questions regarding the cuttlebug, here is a thread to help you out and to ask questions

Ace hardware sells two kinds of Red Rubber Sheet Packing (gaskets). I have one that come in two thicknesses (1/16" & 1/8") it comes in handy depending on your cuttlebug. There is also a set that has a cork sheet that others use to shim their cuttlebug along with the gasket.

I tried to find it at Lowes and they looked at me like I had 3 heads, so I spent the $8 and bought the tan mats.
