Default Please do my thinking for me!!!

OK, I'm sitting here with my catalog and new demo form. I'm looking at the sets and trying to decide which substitutions would be good ones. I already have

Itty Bitty Backgrounds
All year Cheer I

Fresh Flowers doesn't thrill me although I am open to the idea that it may be more of a matter of what OTHER people like, <smile>. Along that line, the wheel they give you that goes with Fresh Flowers would be changed probably as well if I changed Fresh Flowers, right?

I guess what I'm wondering is, do you guys have any suggestions as to which stamps to pick for my sets??? AARGH too many choices!!! So, any of you up for helping spend my money wisely?

Thanks,
Betsy

I am a new demo also. Just started in June so I missed out on the extra goodies you are getting. I thought I wouldn't like the Fresh Flower either, but went ahead and ordered it with my set. Now I love it. It is a very versatile set. All Year Cheer II or III is a good choice. The training brochure and videos use the sets featured so you will automatically have good samples to use for workshops.

A suggestion in choosing other sets--remember to keep your demos simple, it takes alot of time to prepare for your workshops and SU has thought of that with the sets they send. Look at the samples listed on this site they are EXCELLENT. These should help you decide on sets that you feel comfortable demoing.

If you have the money go for the scrapbooking add-on, I have lots and lots of customers who want that type of information. Never made a scrapbook page before until now. It is very easy with the samples that SU provides. Now I like to show them.

Sorry this is so long, just want you to start out the best possible way!

Default here is my suggestion

I would go for a set that includes pictures & words like Good Times, or a very popular one is A Greeting for all Reasons, or Greetings Galore, or the new Framed Greetings is very cute.

I really like ALL of the All year Cheer sets, so I would just choose another one of those that looks useful to you.

There are just so many great wheels, so I would pick one that coordinates with one of your other sets so that your customers can see how our stamps wheels, paper etc, all coordinate with each other.

I hope this helps.

JMHO - but I love fresh flowers & it is so easy to demo. I love the fact that the flower, center, stem and leaves are all separate stamps. I also find it much easier to do make & takes with stamps that you don't have to color in - like Fresh Flowers. Along with that one, I use Buds & Blossoms, watercolor garden, w/c garden II, Terrific Tulips. All fun floral sets that are pretty easy to use. HTH Kendra

Something else to think about is what holidays are coming up. You might want something that has to do with the upcoming holidays since you probably will be doing a lot with those in the near future...unless of course you already have plenty of stamps...

A Greeting for All Reasons was an excellent suggestion. I use it all the time.

I'm joining this week also. I already have Fresh Flowers and Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I'm thinking of "In Full Bloom", which is a new set, to replace Fresh Flowers, and another little fill-in background set to replace Itty Bitty.

I'd recommend Watercolor Garden and Love Without End as very versatile and easy to demo flower sets too.

I just joined in May, and I substituted Lovely as a Tree for one of the sets. I've been stamping for a while, and had several of the sets in the kit already. My upline advised me to get Fresh Flowers, but I still don't like it much. I'd switch that for another floral set I think. I did get Tags and More, and just used it for the first time tonight. I absolutely love Kanji, and use it all the time. It's great for really simple make and takes. I already had the itty bitty backgrounds and subbed Kanji for that. I'd also try to work in one of the new shape sets. Just my 2 cents though.
