I would like it, if still available.

Default PIF up for grabs

EDITED:  THIS HAS BEEN TAKEN
I have this stamp set to offer up as a PIF. I've had it in my stash for years but have never used it, so I think it's time to pass it on. I won it in a giveaway, back when Operation Write Home was still on-going, in which you could make cards to send to the troops. I sent many boxes to OWH during the two years that I participated and know that our cards were much appreciated. If you don't need the service-related sentiments, there are still some general sentiments and images that can be used for other types of cards. Please PM me if you are interested.

Hoptownracer1,
Chris, do you know who made that gumball machine stamp set that you gave to Arlene originally? No problem if you don't remember, but I like to label with the company whenever possible. Thanks!
Hope you're doing okay through this stressful time.

Just a funny note - I made birthday cards for my twin granddaughters. I showed them to DH and he asked "do the kids now days even know what a gumball machine is?" Hahaha!

Haha, I wouldn't be surprised if some kids aren't familiar with gumball machines! On the other hand, when it comes to sweet treats, some things translate across the generations, right? My granddaughters definitely know what a gumball machine is. They even have one that their daddy bought to sit on the counter.. He got it for one of their birthday parties and filled it with treats. It's going to be so fun to use that stamp set.

Default Offering

I have hundreds of die cuts, small stamped images (some colored, some not), tags, fussy cut images, butterflies, etc. I'm offering envies - stuffed full of miscellaneous items. I guarantee that there will be lots of fun things in each for you to use. But I canNOT guarentee what you will get. Those of you who have received envies from me in the past know I don't send junk and that I'm pretty generous with what I do send.

IM me with your name and address and the evies will be shipped out as soon as I can get them posted. In the pictures are only a few of the things that will be in the envies. I didn't take pictures of many of the items, especially the larger ones.

Lots of inspiration there Louise, and these would be a fun little crafty stash for kids who are out of school right now due to the coronavirus.

Honestly that is what I thought. I saw all the precuts (i usually cut a few extra when I'm making cards) and thought - some confined crafter, some mom home with bored kids, someone who can't get new items online - they could use all the stuff I have just sitting here. Glad I can help out. BTW, everyone, we (my husband and I) have been working from home for at least three weeks and we are COVID-19 free.

TAKEN ******Cleaning and sorting--I have a collection of 28 envelopes, all larger than A2. There's a group of 7 off-white, 5 3/4 x 9. Then singles range from black 6 inch square up to clear 6x9. Nice quality--I think I ordered an assortment when doing wedding/shower invites. Will send all in large mailing envelope. PM me with name and mailing address.

All of these are taken. I had WAY more requests than I thought I'd have, so I'm splitting what I have amoungst all the requests, and adding a few additional goodies (images, flowers, bling, etc) to each envie until it is postage max. I hope to have them in the mail in a day or so.

Thanks so much for my envelope, it arrived yesterday (in CALif). Also loved all the different postage stamps on the front. I hope to get a lot of use from these. I attend a card making group at my senior center, they sell the cards for 50 cents each and when it re-opens, I'll share with them if I don't think I'll use some of them. Ginny

I have two things to offer.

1. Nine envelopes with 100 buttons each. You can see from the picture that some of the buttons are very tiny an some are a bit larger than a penny, I took a picture of one set, but the assortments vary.

2. Nine envelopes of assorted flowers. I've laid a penny in the picture so you can see the size of the small ones. I will also include some larger ones and some sliver and gold flowers as well.

Please do not ask for specific buttons or flowers. Each assortment is already made up and ready to mail. Each has some hearts, some fancy buttons, some large ones, some small ones and some plain ones. IM me with your name and address and tell me whether you want buttons or flowers. There is enough here for nearly everyone to get something. I do probably have more than nine envelopes of flowers, so ask away.

Ladies you are so very generous. When I get in the mood (I have to be) I will go thru my supplies.

I have been busy making masks for one of my sisters and neighbors and family. This sister works as an OT at the Children's Hosp in the NICU. So far I have made about 65 or so masks. If I could get 1/8" elastic and interfacing I would make more. I have cotton fabric I bought to make doll clothes for a doll almost 100 yrs old.

Regarding Posts 1506 & 1507 - PLEASE take some of these. Think this thread does not require that you post something new in order to ask for something already posted.

I have this set of dies to offer. I think Karen included this in a envelope of goodies she piffed to me, but in cleaning and organizing I realized I have 2 sets so I am offering one to someone else.

If someone responds quickly, I will drop it off at the PO today when I run errands shortly. Otherwise, it will go postal probably next week.

Louise,

If noone has claimed the shaker card jimmies, they look pretty cool to try.

I'll send my address in separate PM

If I could get 1/8" elastic and interfacing I would make more. I have cotton fabric I bought to make doll clothes for a doll almost 100 yrs old.
Wow, 65 masks!!! I've been making masks too but am almost out of elastic. I was able to scrounge some up in my old sewing stash but it's almost impossible to find right now. I had lots and lots of fabric left from my quilting and sewing days but very little elastic.
So are you finding that the masks you made are staying on okay? Seems like the ones I made (pleated with the nose wire) keep falling down the face as the wearer speaks. I've tried shortening the elastic, but if it's too tight then they pop off the ears. What is your experience?

Karen,

It's a pain but I've been asked to make my masks with 4 ties. It takes longer to make than the elastics but it allows the wearer to tie as tight as they want and no ear rub. Making that much bias tape has been taking me forever though. I've made 60 masks but it took me a whole day of just making 20 inch ties.

As a nurse, I am extremely grateful for your efforts. I know the 4 ties definitely takes longer to make.

But I also know the thin elastic hair ties don't work well--they tend to feel like your ears are being sawed off--rather quickly I might add.

I have a lot of bias tape in my sewing stash, but my daughter and daughter in law asked for ear loops so they don't have to deal with the ties over long hair. I really admire you for making all those bias ties, wow!

Wow! You are way ahead of me. I think I've made about forty so far. I made some for friends and family. Then I made some for my husband's coworkers at the grocery store, and I am going to make more for them, so they will have plenty.
I started using t-shirt yarn for ties, after I saw a video. The last thing of elastic I got is stiff and harder, so it is uncomfortable for masks, but I can find another use for it later. I ordered more on ebay, but I think I got took on that one. Still haven't recieved it.
I'll look for the link to the video I saw about the tshirt yarn. My husband gave me like six tshirts to cut up, so it helped a lot! And I think I have a few pics of the styles I made and I can share the links to those too. I didn't like making the masks with the pleats. I had too much trouble getting the pleats just right and they aren't the easiest to sew over. So I found some other free patterns that I like much better.

Glad to see you posting! I was wondering if you were okay since I hadn't seen any posts from you on the forum lately. Will have to check out the tee-shirt ties to see how they work. Do you use ties or ear loops?
I only made about 26 masks and that felt like a lot, so it's disappointing to think that they may not be staying on well.
Looks like a lot of us are dusting off the sewing machine and making masks in between paper crafting!

Here are some pics. I like the t-shirt yarn much better. I sewed ties on some also, and it is too much work. Besides, the kitties liked helping me with the t-shirt yarn; especially when I was rolling it into a ball!

I made these for the elastic to go around the back of the head. I had to do some measuring to figure out what the best lengths were, as different elastics have different stretchiness.

These have the t-shirt yarn. I am going to try turning the t-shirt inside out to see if it makes it curl with the softer side out, but either way, still works good. I also sewed a strip of bias across the nose, with it open on both ends, so they can insert or remove wire or bread/garbage ties with wire to bend over the nose. I included wire covered plastic strips in them, but they have to be removed when washed. I just cut the yarn at about forty two inches for the men's masks, and it is all one piece; just drapes around the back of the neck and ties at the top of the head.  I tied knots at the ends of the ties, so they wouldn't fall out easily.

These are the women's masks. I used a different pattern for this one, and made some with two layers of fabric and some with three. I stopped using flannel inside of them (too hot) and used tshirt fabric in some, and made some with just two layers of quilting cotton, as some people seem to have trouble with the heavier ones.
Going to find the links to the masks and how to make the t-shirt yarn. I hope it helps, and makes it a little easier for you to make them.
