Chris
So sorry to hear about your husband's job. My whole department is being outsourced to Costa Rica as of Jan 15, 2020 - so I'm out of a job as well. I understand what you are going through. For us it isn't too bad, since we were going to retire next year anyway, but it stings after 25 years with the company. Glad to hear you are going to stay on this thread though. I can't speak for others, but I know that under the circumstances, if you wanted a few things I post I wouldn't mind sharing them with you.

To All
I haven't been online much lately, but hoping to have a bunch of things to post as of the new year. Since people are posting pictures, I thought I'd share a picture of me and my husband, Santa Claus. LOL

Chris, I agree with Louise. This is a pay it forward thread and when I offer things, feel free to let me know if you want anything. I have been the recipient of many wonderful items from ladies on this website. I do not expect anything in return for the things that I offer here. I am thrilled to give my unwanted/neglected items to someone who will put them to use.

Chris, I agree with Arlene and Louise. If I post something and you want it please feel free to grab it.

Chris has offered so many PIF's just since I joined this thread so I too, hope she grabs something if it strikes her fancy. Everyone here has been wonderfully generous and I love that we can pass on those items that we can't use.

Louise, your photo is so festive and fun and you look just beautiful! You and "Santa" make a great pair.

Great picture of all of you! Love those smiles!

Hoping I will get time in the near future to go through my craft room and share some things. I have got to pare down; it has affected my ability to create anything. I will just probably make two or three large envelopes to share, as that would the easiest and most cost effective way to share. I can't afford to do a bunch of individual mailings.
Chris,

When I took over hostessing this thread, I deliberately did not use the year in the title. That means we don't have to keep starting over every year with a new thread, just keep on using this one. (I'm lazy!)
As for PIFing- remember since it's honor system and does not require an immediate offer, you can still participate. You've put plenty of things up in the past, and we know you will when you can, so you're good.

Vicki,

We just got in from a weekend in a small town about 4 hours from Wichita, and we apparently timed it just right. It was completely clear when we left, and we had snow one night there (we'd gone to WaKeeney KS to see their Christmas lights- pretty good for a small town!), and the roads were clear for the drive back to Wichita. We saw a lot on the Weather Channel about this currently winter storm Finley. Why do they need to name all kinds of storms now? It used to just be hurricanes.
Anyway, it was nice to have the snow, and even nicer not to have hazardous driving to get home. Most of what Wichita got has melted off already.

Contrapat, I just PM'd you about an OLD PIF that you had posted in 2018, haha! For some reason, it came up as new in my search for subscriptions and I didn't notice the date. Followed up with another PM to disregard.

Glad you got back ahead of the storm. I've been seeing just terrible news stories about really bad conditions and feel sorry to anyone having to drive through those storms.

Karen,

Actually, we got back after the storm. Wichita didn't get hit very badly, but I hear Kansas City did.

What was I offering in the old post? (I'm curious)

You were offering half sheets of some shimmery blue cardstock . Good thing I noticed the date before you found yourself scratching your head and wondering what in the world I was talking about..!

Sorry to hear about you losing your jobs. It is hard time of year to have such bad news.

I too thank so many for sharing with me. I hope to get somethings together during Christmas break. I can't guarantee. Time seems to be running away from me!

Merry Christmas... Happy Holidays!

Thank you all so much! I am sooo touched! We are just taking a wait and see approach. It's doubtful, but a very slim possibliity they could find a spot for him, but not very likely at all! So not pinning much hope on that. He's been there over thirty years, so it will be a change.
Several people we know are having a very difficult time right now, so they have been in our thoughts a lot. And definately in our prayers!
Thank you all for thinking of me! You are such a sweet bunch! (((HUGS!)))

Louise, I am sorry to hear they are outsourcing your job! Even if you are retiring, it is a big change, and a big adjustment in your lives! Awesome photo of you and your husband!

It is officially Dec. 26, so I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas, and that the New Year be one of good health and happiness. We're hosting extended family on Sunday, for the ones that couldn't make it at Christmas, so I'm still not relaxing (sigh). However, I plan to just hole up in my craft room after Sunday and put my Christmas craft supplies away to get ready for a new year. Blessings to you all!

Christmas was good this year. DH gave me a couple of things I'd asked for- Dr.PH Martin's irridescent inks (set 1) and very fine tip Chameleon markers set of 48. I haven't done much other than try out on blank paper, but I especially think I'm going to love the inks. Of course, I did ask if he was only getting me one set of the inks (they're pricey), that I'd like the set 2. This means in January (my birthday is the 22nd) I should be getting the other set. I saw the size of the box that came- I know he bought both. I have plans!
What did you guys get for Christmas? Anything crafty?

Hi all!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

It has been a while since I have been here...but I am getting ready to do some major cleaning in my craft room.

Right now I am offering up two packages which will contain random items we use in our card making--possibly some ink pads, envelopes, paper items, twine, buttons, ribbon, embossing folders, brads/eyelets (does anyone use these anymore??) etc...

If you are interested in one of these packages send me a private message. One package will contain Ranger distress inks and the other Hero Arts inks. I have tested them and they all work, some may be juicier than others. There is still some life left in them

No crafty items under my tree. DH and I had a larger patio poured (4 times the size of the original tiny one) and then had an all cedar pergola built and bought patio furniture (table and chairs) - this was done in October. My birthday is Sept. and his is Jan. so this was "Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas" to the both of us.
The only other gift I received was a set of serving bowls with lids in the Pioneer Woman collection from my brother and sister-in-law.

Taryn, I still use brads, but eyelets not so much. I will be posting some items this next week.

We didn't do a lot as for shopping at Christmas, but hubby did get me a Christmas Cats coloring book when we were at the store. He knows I like them so much!

Arlene, my husband and I don't buy gifts for each other anymore and usually just pick things up during the year as needed. My husband prefers activities rather than items, so I usually gift him with a vacation trip. As for crafty goodies, he would have no idea what I use or like so I just buy them myself. I'm happy, and he's happy that I'm happy...win/win.
Your patio and furniture sound like a perfect gift to each other that you will both enjoy for years!

I made an awesome discovery tonight while I was cleaning off my crafting table. Between what I already had and what you all have shared with me, I have enough supplies to make a million cards! Thank you all so much! As I picked up each thing gifted from here, I was reminded of each of you! You are such a kind bunch!
Kazeka, We don't usually do gifts either. Hubby saw me pick up the coloring book and look at it, and I was going to buy it for myself, so he said he would get it for me.
When we did use to get something, we would go together and get something for the house, or just buy ourselves something. It was kind of nice not doing as much this year for Christmas, as I didn't have to worry about shopping for stuff or getting specific things for people. Just spending time together was so nice!

Chris and Karen, we don't buy each other gifts and usually don't spend a lot on regular items that we buy (we're rather frugal). DH would not know what craft items to buy for me. We have wanted a larger patio since we moved here as the original one would barely fit 2 chairs on it. We rarely take vacations and then it's usually to see the kids. Since retirement is just around the corner, we decided this would give us some enjoyment and not have to leave home!

My hubby doesn't set foot inside of a craft store so he would never be able to notice what I look at. Besides, he feels like the entire craft store in already inside our house, haha!

Sande- try cold brewing. Yes, you don't get as much mileage from the coffee, but it is SO smooth and nice! Here's how:

How To Make Cold Brew Coffee | SimplyRecipes.com

You don't have to use it as iced, you can brew it strong, then add boiling water for hot coffee.

Are you opposed to sugar substitutes? (I use Sweet N Low, DH uses Splenda)

And can I ask why you're trying to go to coffee? (Just nosy!)

Hi Jennifer,
I just wanted to show you some mini-calendars that I made with the Back to School stamp set that you sent to me. My granddaughters gave them as gifts to their teachers, teaching assistants, and tutor and everyone loved them. Thanks so much again for offering them up as a PIF.

Just popping in to say Happy 2020 to everyone! I've been reorganizing my craft room (a never-ending process) and putting aside a few items to offer up soon. It's amazing what you find when you start pulling things out of cupboards and drawers!

Thanks Arlene,
They were easy to make and I already had the mini calendars so I made 16 of them for stocking stuffers. I like to see what people make with their PIF's so thought I'd share. Next project will be using some of those beautiful decorative brads that you sent to me!
