Default Party Favor help please!

My dear sweet Mom is turning 90 in October. I am hosting a family reunion here so that we can have a party with her. I am going to have it at a meeting room in a Red Lion hotel/casino. I want to decorate the tables and am looking for ideas on the table favors/party favors. Any ideas out there?

Thanks!

For a recent church convention I did up the little boxes shown in a weekly tutorial, which we filled with chocolates. Recently, for my bookclub, I made up some little purses that are adorable, and also filled with chocolates. I am also now participating in a paper cake swap. You could make an entire cake out of little boxes filled with treats.

There are so many things in the tutorials, so take a look there to start. You could do up a sticky note holder, a candy bar holder, maybe some simple notecards, or little boxes holding Hershey nuggets. Depending on the number of people you are inviting, and the amount of help you will have, you could find something manageable.

This has nothing to do with stamping, which is probably what you are looking for but when my daughter was married in Las Vegas we made "casino" style favors for guests. We used little plastic boxes with handles and filled them with chocolate poker chips, cards and dice...they were a huge hit!

For a baby shower I made little matchbooks with mints inside and printed on the outside "Thank you for sharing this day, it "mint" so much!" On the other side it said Amanda's Baby Shower and the date.

What are her interests? Are there any funny stories that can translate into a theme for the favors? For instance, we had a party for a teacher and the decorations were books with made up titles "Recess, A mini vacation". They were filled with apple flavored jelly beans.

My first idea was to make(if possible) high heeled shoes and fill with candy, have boas around and sparkle. I guess I was thinking take her back to the good ol days!

Ummmm okay, so I just reread your post and realized all I saw the first time was the "casino" part and thought that was the theme....oooopppps, guess my idea isn't what you were looking for. I did give myself a good laugh though. Good luck, hopefully someone who can actually read will be of more help!
