Personally, I have not had much luck with the Palette Hybrid ink with the copics. I find a little less smearing with the Adirondack Dye ink or the new Memento ink.

I like the Palette Hybrid ink, but I have learned to let it dry thoroughly. I cannot stamp then immediately color because then my Copics smear. That being said, I still like it. I have the Noir, Burnt Umber, Canvas, and L'amour Red. They all stamp nice crisp images. I bought mine from Ellen Hutson's store. I do think I would like to try the Adirondack Dye ink, but I can't justify getting it until I'm finished with the Noir. Sigh.
My favorite inks to use with copics are palette, brilliance, and momento. I heat set the first two. You don't have to heat set the momento, but it isn't as nice and really black as the other two.
I've also never had much luck with the Palette and Copics. However, I do love to use Palette with clear stamps, and I love the little Palette cube sets (mostly because of the cool names).
Everyone has different results. I think humidity, temperature, paper and everything else really factors into the result that you will get. Unfortunately it's just a matter of experimenting (and $$) to find what works.
I like Versafine Black Onxy personally. I get the sharpest black and least smearing. Here is a really great thread:Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I do not like Palette inks with copics, it smears/feathers the edges. I'm a HEAVY colorer with lots of layering, so I need an ink to stand up to that.
I love the adirondack black and then the memento black. Neither have smeared or feathered and I can color immediately after I stamp the image. I think the adirondack is still my first choice and at this point I think it might just be a preferance.
I am WAY to impatient to heat set, I can't stand the brilliance because you have to heat it. But I wouldn't buy an ink you have to heat set, IMO. I spend a long time coloring and don't want to waste the time making sure the ink is dry so my image isn't messed up.
How funny that everyone uses something different. I've heard bad things and good things about all of the above mentioned inks...guess I'm just gonna have to try them all out until I find the one that works for me, lol! I hope that Versafine works, it's my FAVORITE black and it's SOOO black! I have Pallette and used it yesterday (first day with Copics) and it seemed to work well. Brilliance didn't work, I even heat set it. It smeared all over:(
