For those of you that subscribed to this magazine on or about the end of January...have you rec'd your first issue yet???? I called last week and they said it is on the way...I also remember a post or two from a few weeks ago which said the same thing...it must be taking the long way to get here b/c I haven't seen it... :shock: :shock: I'm getting a little nervous b/c it was SO expensive... "I just want my fair share, I just want what is coming to me!!!!" :lol: :lol:
I found since I started stamping I do alot of stalking...the mail man, the UPS man, web sites at the first of the month....oh...there is the mail man now...gotta go!
I posted last week asking if anyone had gotten theirs yet. I didn't hear of anyone getting them yet but someone had seen them in the stores.
I emailed customer support at papertrends and here is the response I got on April 4th:

I haven't gotten mine either! I assume you are talking about when they had the $10 off special. I also ordered the card book when it was a special buy 2 get 1 free (card book + kids and babies books) I JUST got them last week. It took FOREVER and it was mailed in a flat rate priority package and ripped to shreads when it got here. *GRRRRR*
hope we get the mag soon!
Me either...I tried to call them AGAIN yesterday but they must have just closed the office...I will try again today...I'm getting a little frustrated and for this amount of moola I am thinking about cancelling before I even get it!!
I haven't received mine either. I've emailed them several times to get the canned answer "it should be there soon". No response to the last email 5 days ago. I thought one of the perks of subscriptions was to receive it before it was on the stands? This is ridiculous. I believe I am going to cancel mine.

I received my "scrapbook trends" last week but I have not rec'd "paper trends"
I am a bit ticked at them myself - I ordered both magazines and some paper from them (almost $100) - on March 7th I emailed and it said that the paper had been sent out then I called on the 25th and she said oh it was sent on the 15th and it would take up to 10 business days to arrive ! Then I finally got it and it was mailed out priority the day I called! So none of the dates that were given to me were accurate and I called them yesterday (first time I remembered before they closed) and the lady that answered took a message and I have not heard back from them yet.... I am considering calling again and cancelling it all and demanding a refund...

Even my April SS went MIA, but SU! happened to have enough spares they were able to mail me a replacement.
I'm last to get every mag I subscribe to, really!!!!! It's maddening.
The only bad thing about getting my PaperTrends last week?
I had JUST bought one off the rack while visiting my Mom (same issue). Now, I have two. I emailed them and told them this and asked if they could extend my subscription by one issue. Still waiting for reply. . .

I got my PaperTrends in the mail yesterday! I love it! I love the layout and the simple design. It doesn't seem as busy as other mags. I'm still debating whether to subscribe. What's everyone else's opinion of the magazine?
I'm not sure what I think of this mag. I got a few minutes to go thru it. It's a lot of using scrapbook supplies to make items. I know I can stamp instead but I'm thinking that this magazine is just not my style.
Thanks for your input, Jodi! I agree, the examples in Paper Trends use a lot of ready-made and consumable products. There is only a limited amount of stamping. I guess I'm challenged to try to create the patterned paper and embellishments using stamps as much as possible. Since I don't buy a lot of patterned paper outside of SU, I still like to see what's on the market so I can keep up with current trends. As an SU demo, I feel this is a service I can give my customers that they can't get from internet auction sites. I might think twice about purchasing such an expensive publication if I were not a demo.
I'm on the east coast and called them again today for status...they said I should receive it any day now...I said....that is what you told me three weeks ago!! The girls said if I dont receive it by Friday or Monday to call back and they will send another one...she said the Ohio area just rec'd theirs yesterday and today so there is still hope....we'll see!!:rolleyes:
