Default packing for Christmas?!

Every year we travel LOTS over Christmas to see family. I would love to take supplies with me to stamp, but in previous years, when I have gotten things out, I am short of this or that. How do you all pack your cardmaking supplies for travel? I am planning on taking just the demo bag and maybe one smaller one. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Judy

I usually pre-stamp images that I want to use in cards and then just color them when I am away. I find that it is too much for me to pack when I pack to make full cards; adhesive, cardstock, cutter, coloring materials (ie- watercolor pencils, prismas, etc), ink pads, punches and the list goes on and on. Then when I get home, it is pretty easy to assemble the cards. Plus if I'm really busy wherever we are and I don't have a lot of time to work on the cards, I didn't waste all that time trying to plan a complete card and pack all of the materials for it. Much lighter to pack for just coloring. HTH.

It depends on if you fly or drive. I usually take some of my stamping stuff with me.

I have a New AMM Tote that I can fill with Cardstock, some tools, ink pads, Colored pencils, Tombow markers, Acrylic blocks, Stamp sets.

And I have a Plastic Folder that has a lot of 12x12 Designer Papers and some 8x8 DP too.

I use some of my Smaller Plastic Clam shell boxes for buttons, eyelets, pencil sharpener, Ribbon, (rolled up), My stampin scrub,

We always drive to our family get together's, We have only flown a few times and taken the train a couple of times too.
