Default Once you unmounted, what to do with clamshell cases?

I am in the process of unmounting all of my SU stamps and putting them in the CD cases. My question is what do I do with all of the clam shell cases that hold the wood mounts?

Sell them! I know people here would buy them. Well, at least I think they would...

Keep them! I didn't really buy many wood mounted sets...I think 8 sets that came in a variety of sizes- two large clam shells, three medium, two small and one super small. I've kept the clam shell cases because they are so handy for small items. I put my ink cubes, dew drops, small wood mounted single stamps and other small items for taking with me to crops and retreats. They keep everything neat and organized. Love them!

I kept my clamshell cases. Well, some of them anyway. I kept up to six (?) unmounted stamp sets in one box (the clamshells helped me to keep sets separated by category). I had older (thicker) clamshells too, from waaaaay back when. I gave away a TON to two people who use them for storage. One (not a stamper) just uses them to store stuff that he collects. The other (a stamper) uses them to store non-SU! stamps which didn't come with clamshells. I did keep some extra clamshells for myself, 'cause they're handy to put a little project in, like a card that's halfway done, an inkpad, some Copics, etc.

I will keep some of the larger ones but I don't want to store all the small ones. Just don't know what to do with the ones that I don't keep.

Pass them along either BST here or some other way
It is nearly spring cleaning time for people and they will be grateful for a small containers to organize bits and pieces.

I actually bought clamshells when I started microbeading. The beads don't need the size but the projects do to contain the beads whilst using them.

You could also use a few for embossing powder. Pour your powder into the case, put a plastic spoon in it, then you can easy spoon the embossing powder over your project while holding it over the case.

I didn't unmount, but I did break up my sets. I have a big plastic bin tucked away in the basement that holds my clamshells. I put a photocopy of the label sheet for each set into the clamshell so I can easily recreate the set should I ever decide to sell.

I don't like using the clamsells for organizing. The lip on each case means you can't really store them efficiently. Too much wasted space for my taste.

That's how I store my scraps. So easy to see. The size that backgrounds used to come in holds anything smaller than a half sheet.

In addition to storage, I also use them when I go to crops. They're great for keeping items together such as small ink pads, packets of brads, gems, or pearls, Krylon and gel markers, etc.

I kept a few for organization; but I gave some to friends who wanted them for beads and the rest to the High School Art class.

I use one for my small bits of ribbon that are too short for a spool etc. Keeps together and tidy

Give them to teachers. Schools don't have much money so teachers can use them for storage or projects with the kids.

Oooh also the Sale A Bration twine spools fit in there bomb-diggety. I am saving my empty spools to wrap other bits and pieces around, too.

If you have the kind with dividers, that used to come with alphabet sets, those are awesome for sponges. Helps keep the colors separated. I just lucked out and my upline sent me two for free. They don't make them anymore.

Use them for workshop/class/project packaging for your customers. Put all of their ingredients into the clam shell for each project, or depending on size, all projects. Your customers will be THRILLED to get the clam shells and they'll be impressed that you are so organized!
