I have no idea of the cost because it is in storage. We are waiting to move into a house. I do know that the oldest book I have is 97-98, the year I was introduced to SU.

I think I have one from 1996-1997 or so and this catalog carried stamps by PSX and other companies. There was a set here and there but mostly I noticed single stamps dominated the offerings....they had lots of flock colors, charms, radiant pearls and other things. I bought mine on Ebay so have no idea on the original cost. I've seen 1995 cattys appear every so often but nothing older than that.

oldest IB&C catty
I have every year from 1997 to present. I save one from every year I've been a demo except for my 1996 catty. My DH threw it away by mistake when it retired, not knowing that you never through a SU catty away, no matter what!!!!! He thought it was junk, oh did he learn a quick lesson.
The cost on the back says $7.95.

Blushing!
Oh! I get it now! Forgive me--It just dawned on me that IB&C is "Idea Book and Catalog." Sorry for asking! <blushing>

I have a '94-'95 catalog. I had my first workshop in Aug '95, and my demo gave me the catalog that had just gone 'out' (94-95) along w/ the brand new catty (95-96). I think it was $5.95 - but of course it was free for me as a hostess. I signed up a month after that workshop & have a catalog from every year since.
You wouldn't believe how far the IB&C has come over the years -- not nearly as many samples. AND Not to mention that SU did not used to be exclusive so there are a lot of other companies' stamps in those catties.

I've been collecting these for years! Here's what I've got:
94-95 No price listed that I can see! The demo's sticker says you can buy it for $5
95-96 $6.95
96-97 $6.95
97-98 $7.95
98-99 $7.95
99-00 $7.95
00-01 $9.95 (big jump)
01-02 through present $9.95
I don't care how much they'd go for on Ebay! These are my "babies" and I don't plan on parting with them!

I am a new demonstrator in Rhode Island and would love to collect older Catalogs. Does anyone have 1988-1994 that they want to sell? I think after this I will try to collect minis. I guess I am addicted already. lol [email protected]

My oldest is a 1998-1999 one and like previously posted it sold for 7.95, but my sister (my demo at the time) gave it to me for free. I am now her demo. Oh, how I studied that catalog. Now when I look at it I get all nostalgic. Ahh, where my beloved addiction began...
