Default Okay - 'fess up.

How many stamps to you own? What system do you use to keep track of what you own? Here's the thing - if everyone has lots more than me then I will have the justification for going out and buying more

OMG I just counted and I have 102! I really thought it was 50-60! Anyway I used to mount each set and stamp them to make myself an idex card and that went into a 3 ring binder. Now I scan the sticker sheet before I mount them and that goes into my binder. HTH!

Ok, I only have around 1500. I thought that was a lot, and I have been stamping for around 14 years. I put them in what ever drawer they will fit, each drawer is numbered. I put the drawer number on the stamp, and stamp it in the corresponding page for that drawer, which I keep in a binder. When I'm finished using my stamp I look at the number and return it to it's place. I have stamped all my sentiments together on a few pages and put the drawer number next to the stamped images to make finding sentiments easier. I plan to categorize other stamps together too once I get some free time.

Default Way to many to count!

I wouldn't even know where to start. I have 11 3 ring binders filled with unmounted, a lot of SU set and a lot of individuals. I do go through them once in awhile and sell but I like having the variety. My husband has made me some great storage systems with shallow drawers so it usually easy to see what I have. They are stored by theme and I try to check them before buying more.

I stopped counting about 5 or so years ago ... and I am not fessing up to what it was back then .... I normally stamp what I own into my own not so little stamp catalog .... normally by category. I have been a bit slack this year though and have tons I still need to add to it .... yikes!!!!!!!!!

Well, I have a little over 100 sets....plust around 100 various stamps from other companies...I have gone unmounted and I store all stamps in CD cases on an over-the-door CD holder from WallyWorld. Can't BELIEVE how much space I've saved !! ( :

Last count 353 SU Sets, 30 unmounted sets and probably 100 or so single stamps. I use my scanner to scan the sticker sheet before mounting my SU Stamps and print it out. I put these in a pager protector in a 3 ring binder by Alpha order. My sets are kept on shelfs in alpha order also. I don't catorgize.

I have 77 sets (or groupings). I have some Michael's $1.50 stamps put together as a set. Some date stamp words unmounted and put together as a set. How many stamps do I have? Way to many for me to count, although I guess I still have few enough to know what I have. I also have decided that unless a new set comes along that is so different from anything I have....I won't be buying many more stamps. I will focus my orders on paper replenishment.

I have 13 SU stamp sets and 6 backgrounds.

I have around 20 "loose" stamps (from other companies).

I've been stamping for a little over 5 years.

I tend to agree now that I know I have surpassed the 100 SU sets... I just keep adding and have another one heading my way for my birthday next week...

A lot of SU sets (150-200.... I won't count, it would make it to real)... 31 big background stamps..... and six 4" binders of EZ Mount storage sheets/unmounteds - each fit 2-300 individual stamps.

Yikes.
Why OH why did you ask this question?!?!

You want me to COUNT 'em???

I got this cool bookshelf from Ikea, and added the glass doors to the front (it is pretty full, as is the little cabinet to the right of it - don't know WHAT I'm going to do when they are packed!). They are color coded, and they are on the shelves according to size (the CD tower on the right has all my tiny stamp sets and my background stamps in it).

I stopped counting a year or so ago. I have only bought the same stamp twice so that's not too bad!

My DBF said to me as we were on our way to the stamp store this past Friday, "Don't you already own every stamp available?". My reply was "No honey, not even close." LOL - he's so silly!

Five years and only 13 stamp sets?! How did you not get sucked into the void with the rest of us? I can pick up more than "20 loose stamps" within 3 minutes of entering one of my favorite local stamp stores!!!! What strength you have!!!

I wish I had wall space for something like this. Mine are in drawers of an old dresser, all the drawers are numbered and cross referenced into a binder. I can't say how many I have, but my binder is 3 inches thick of index sheets.

I've had to unmount some of my SU sets because I've run out of room.

I loved the idea about numbering drawers so stamps can get put back -- fat chance!!! I am working on organization so there is still hope. I think really need the notebooks also. I have just started buying acrylic stamps so almost all of mine are wood mounted and take up a lot of space. Is it really worth the time to get everything in order? I have so many stamps the project seems impossible.

I am not sure if I should say "Too many" or "Not enough"? Which should it be? If I never bought another stamp I would be covered. But what fun would that be? So you decide: too many or not enough!

Last time I counted, I had about 50+ stamp sets (and another 3 are coming tomorrow)...100% Stampin' Up! I've been stamping religiously for about a year and a half...so I have accumulated A LOT in that time...I use the Closet Maid Cubicals storage...and found that 10 large stamp sets fit perfectly into one cube...or 20+ if they are smaller sets...I have mine all labeled on their side with the sticker that Stampin' Up! provides...I mark stamp sets off in my catalog to keep track since I use my catalog to place orders...that way...I know what I have when I pull it out to order...I've not duplicated any stamp sets yet...

Did I mention...those are just current stamp sets??? I don't keep it if it retires because I can't demo it...I either sell or give them to my kids...they love to stamp...!

Just pared down about 20 sets leaving me with roughly 65 sets, only 19 current though......which is only a pain since I am a nearly new demo.....so ticked that my absolute faves are retired, would be more fun to demo those.

I quit counting about two years ago. No one, including myself but especially my DH, needs to know!

(My best guess, though, would probably be between 1500 and 2500 individual stamps, not counting alphas. I've been stamping 6 years.)

I haven't counted lately, but I've been a demo for 3+ years, I buy LOTS of SU sets, and I don't get rid of my retired stamps. I'd guess about 400 or so SU sets, a bunch of loose ones from my pre-SU days, a few PaperTrey sets, some Purple Onion sets from my pre-SU days, and LOTS of wheels. I also have most of the background stamps in the SU catalog at any given time. <g>

As I'm in the process of getting my craft room organized, I've been forced to face the reality of how many sets I've actually accumulated. It's nearing 250 SU! sets, not including the BGs or wheels. I've also got 20 or so random Hero Arts/LSS single stamps and 4 or 5 CTMH stamp sets.

Yeah, ladies--we own A LOTTA Rubba!!!

I know I am closing in on 300, plus a variety of stamps from other companies (a generous basket full of Stampscapes). I keep them stashed in lots of separate places so it's not quite so obvious how many I have (but I think DH knows -- or at least suspects -- the truth). I keep a spreadsheet with the stampset, current status (retired/current/hostess), year acquired, year retired, price paid (for insurance purposes) and category. I try to thin the collection out, but it's about as hard as choosing which child to sell!

wow.....I have to say that my DH should consider himself lucky that I'm not a stampaholic, not really anyway. I have about 45 sets, counting Christmas. I could name a few more I'd love to have but I try to keep my purchasing to my two hostess opportunities each year. My rationale is that I "really" don't BUY that many, most are free....

2 My Sentiments Exactly sets
3 Rhonna Farrer sets
5 Karen Foster Snap Stamps sets
16 - $1.50 clear Michaels sets
11 Small wheels SU
12 Jumbo wheels SU
2 - Border set Gina K
3 sets of wooden letters/numbers
66 singles from various companies

Ok I confess - My name is Kathy and I'm a stamp addict.

SU are all alphebetical.
Not only are you a stamp addict, but also a very organized one!! I am living in denial of how many stamps/sets I own. I started cataloguing them once upon a time...haven't had time to keep up with it!
