*snort* Wish I could do that with my stuff - just toss it into the garage for hubby to sort out for me!

Mine doesn't ever look like a bomb went off. It's more of the landmine battle zone look!!!

Yup, same here.

Mine is clean and organized...disorganization vexes me (in all areas of my life, not just crafting. )

My craft room is chaos, it's shocking. Sometimes I literally can't get in the doorway without stepping on stuff. It needs an overhaul.

Neat as a pin! The whole house is! It's a sickness, sneaks around and takes all the fun out of life and stamping in gerneral!

I have to stop in the middle of what ever I am doing and put it all away or I can't finish...

It really is a sickness....

I like to say "my space is da bomb" which translates to "my space got hit by one." I have an 8' table, and an 8" space to work in most times. It's weird because I'm a very VERY organized person, but my creative space is my true freedom, even if it's messy and drives me crazy. Oddly enough, I know where 95% of my stuff is at all times, even if you wouldn't know it by looking at my space!

...good thing I work in the basement. At least that way my husband doesn't have to look at any of it.

My space is such a wreck...periodically I go through it and put everything up, and within a day it's back to looking like it did before I cleaned. Right now I have about 25 stamp sets I need to go put away, I just keep dragging more out as I think, hm, maybe I'll do something with THIS one today...and then they just STAY out.

When I'm working on a project, it looks like a tornado went through my room! But I usually do tidy up afterwards so I don't face a mess next time I want to work on something!

The better the card, the bigger the mess! I have to clean it up afterwards, unfortunately, due to small cramped spaces in my apartment and an 18 month old!

It's messy. I'm trying to get more organized slowly but surely. The upside of it is that I keep finding supplies and stamps I'd forgotten I had. Kinda like an early Christmas!

Red face

I can't think let alone work on something unless everything is in it's place and of course each place is labelled. Even while making something when I have used something I have to put it back even though I know I will need to use it again in a few minutes. And if I miss the rubbish bin I can't leave it on the floor, I have tried to but I can't stop thinking about it so I have to stop and pick it up.
Ok I confess yes I have OCD. Sometimes I find it tiring but it is just me.

My stamping room is also my dining room. It gets all put away when I have people come to eat. Right now it looks like more than one bomb went off. I am trying to get the room decorated for the holidays, Have all 144 Xmas cards out I made this year, trying to make at least 50-100 more. I am working on etching on plates, making ornaments out of glass ornaments. have about 20 tiles I stamped today to be colored and finished, plus little tiles for magnets. Also am working on bookmarks & a few other things. So yes, mine looks like a bomb has hit it. Have to have it all cleaned up for Christmas eve when all the kids come.

Oh my... do you even want to know?? I have five children, 4 of whom don't realize what's my space is mine and they have their own space. Add to that, I am just TOOO busy to sit and finish something in one sitting, so everything gets left out... then I have to start another project (frequently before the first one has been finished.... yes I am A.D.D) and you end up with what looks like the aftermath of a major tornado/hurricane/{put in whatevery natural disaster you can think of}. I do work better with a clean space, but like right now with the holidays... I don't have time to clean. Someone mentioned a maid... now there's an idea!!

I have a whole room very neat and organized. Sometimes I get to being "Edward Scissorshands" and it looks a mess but then I clean it up and back to normal for me.

I usually wreck it daily but try to see that it is clean and ready for the next project before I go to bed each night. Doesn't always happen that way I see as I look over my shoulder this morning!!

Is it contagious? I could use a virus like that!

I'm getting much better at keeping my room clean since I've reorganized it. I really have a hard time concentrating in the midst of a mess.

Mine looks like a bomb went off too - it's a mess and will only get worse with making Christmas stuff. After the new year, I'm hoping to clean it up and get it looking good again.

I have excellent storage cabinets, shelves, and drawers. I have peg board covering an entire wall. I have three 6" table to work on.

I also have a door to close to hide the terrible mess I have!!! I am lucky that my stamp room is in our basement, so I can just walk away without a guilty feeling. It is always a mess! I go in and vacuum about once a month and I think it looks so great then! Since the floor looks good, I then put up all the sets that are stacked next to my desk, file all the little pieces of extra cardstock, put up all my ink pads, and put up all the accessories. This lasts for one project and then the cycle starts again. I LOVE MY MESS!

Mine totally looks like it got hit by several bombs lol. I like to equate it to the old saying about cooks. A messy cook is a good cook....

Actually, I'd rather it be clean but I enjoy the look of "omg look at this mess" when my husband actually ventures into my craft room.

My stamping room is always a mess. Every once in awhile I will get disgusted with it and spend a day or so trying to clean it up, but I never finish. And now that I have been working on Christmas cards the mess has spread to the couch in the basement where I can work and watch tv. I guess I am glad to know "normal."

Mine looks like a tornado hit it 90% of the time. If it's a complete disaster, I try to clean it up before I make anything else again.

It's gotten worse now that I am sewing more, because there is fabric everywhere, and I haven't thought of a good system for that.

My DH and I share a room that is called the "computer room." (It used to be a bedroom, but has been converted. What used to be a double closet is now a "library" with shelves on the wall, and a bookcase on each side that pull out with a TV in the middle that also pulls out. (My DH is quite handy!!) He is on one side of the room with his computer desk, file cabinet, etc. I am on the other side with my computer desk, a shelf he made me that holds my very large basket with scrapbooking paper, stickers, etc, another basket with my plain cardstock and assorted supplies. Then I have a card table set up with all of my cutting supplies, pencils, punches, etc. Under the card table I have a rolling cart with mostly ink pads, chalks, etc. Then behind me I have another rolling cart that holds my stamps and containers of brads, ribbons and paper scraps. I can actually work on the card table and the computer desk when I need a lot of room!!
On another wall is a built in bookcase that used to hold only books, but now I have cleaned off 5 of the shelves for my scrapboooking and stamping stuff (Albums, finished cards, catalogs, etc.)
Someday I dream of having my own room with shelves and cabinets.

Me too. If there is too much clutter around me I get to anxious and cannot create. So I have a neat and tidy space which is ever expanding.

I'm of the bomb school of working. Actually, the storage area is pretty organized, but the stamping area is a disaster. I think the disorganization helps the creative juices flow. At least that's what I keep telling myself!

I am training myself to leave my stamping room in "ready to work" state.

After years of doing the "bomb", I've discovered that I get much more accomplished if the room is picked up and ready to work. I do get lots of stuff out while I'm working, but I am making an effort to pick up and put away before I leave the room. It has made SUCH a difference in my attitude about stamping!!!

It is a joy to enter a room that does not have stuff cascading off of every flat surface. My mind is free to think about creating, not about search-and-rescue. I definitely recommend the "pick up and put away" method when you are ready to leave your stamping area - it rocks!!!!

Alas, I am not what a fellow stamper calls "a tidy soul". I'm more of a "chaotic soul". Most of the time the only "clear" area is on top of my Carl Cutter or my rotary fiskars cutter. So there I am stamping on those when (of course) I need to cut something. What a disaster. My DH just walks into the room and shakes his head. I have seriously considered getting hypnotized to become a "place for everything and everything in its place" person. (It worked for my sister to quit smoking, so it should work for that, huh?)

Yeah! Someone like me I can't stand clutter when I work. I take something out, use it and put it right back when I am done. I am that way when I bake or cook. Drives my husband up a wall LOL. When he cooks I go around putting things away and than he goes to look for it and realizes it's gone. Thanks for sharing and letting me know I'm not the only odd ball

It's funny - I usually keep it pretty neat and organized, but right now, I'm in the middle of making 80 Christmas Cards and 40 Nugget Boxes, so it does look like a bomb hit! I can't work in too much clutter, though, so when I hit a certain mess threshold, I stop and regroup and tidy up.
