Default Ok, I admit to being clueless...

Please someone tell me what is Butt Stamping? Is it what I think it is? Please clarify for me.

Thanks!

Default butt stamping

I know nothing!

Seriously, it is a very good technique, and it is truly how I do my backgrounds (as long as it is a sturdy table)

So does the butt work better than the brayer trick?

Oh gosh I didn't even think about how my question sounded   It is late should be in bed.
Ok so does using your butt work better than turning the background stamp over and brayering ? Does that sound better?

Before I learned of Lana's Butt Stamping Method, specifically for the Just Jeans background stamp, I did this:

Place one drop of re-inker on background stamp. Using brayer, getting it really, really messy, cover the background stamp completely and evenly.

Place cardstock on worksurface. Stand up. Pick up background stamp and carefully position over cardstock and stamp. Continue to add pressure to surface area of stamp until your arms feel like they are going to fall off.

Lift stamp from cardstock carefully. Witness failure to cover center portion of stamped area.

Repeat. And again. And again. Place Just Jeans on shelf and vow to never use again.

Now, with Lana's method, I have successfully stamped the Just Jeans background stamp repetitively, without any problems or failures. And I'm happy to report I'll be using this stamp more frequently due to the success ratio.

And I don't get my brayer all messed up.
