Default Ode to the Dirty Girls and the RUBI-coil Blues

I noticed the big thread on the Rubi-coil was here in the General Forum, so here is my little tribute to all those Dirty Girls who "made" me by the Rubi. My DH is probably lurking on here taking names, Beate, Cambria, Starlitstudios, Jenn, you gals know who you are..

My RUBI arrived yesterday, and I don't mind telling ya, it is the BOMB!!!! I can't believe I waited 3 years to buy this thing.

ODE TO THE DIRTY GIRLS and the RUBI-COIL BLUES

The Dirty Girls were creating and showing their stuff.
The samples were gorgeous, to pretty to pass up.
I knew I must have one, a RUBI-COIL, you see.
It'll pay for itself, if it's left up to me!

Oh the excuses I came up with, and justifications, too.
I tried to fight it off, but was still just so blue
Thinking I might be the only girl in this forum
In the stamp room alone, no RUBI to fight boredom.

I see, notebooks, calendars, little albums and such..
DH kept chanting, "enough is enough!"
But, early in the morning while he was out hunting
I seached the web, found a site that was cunning.

It was www.filmsourceinc.net, that's it, I think.
Great package deal, everything but the sink.
I got the RUBI... the coils....oh, and the crimpers....
They threw in FOR FREE a CD player that shimmers.

WOO-HOO for I found the RUBI-VIRUS cure.
Fun things from my workshop, that's for sure.
My genuine RUBI is scheduled to arrive today.
Now to just find the time to sit down and PLAY.

The gallery should be full of RUBI-stuff, too quick.
What fun to drink my coffee and look at the pics!
Make sure you gals give them lots of long "views"
Alas, it won't cure your own RUBI-BLUES.

Just jump on the web, won't take you too long.
You'll find the site to buy one of your own.
Stamp camps, gifts, presentations, too
Each gal needs to cure her own RUBI-BLUES!

********

The opinion expressed here is not even the real opinion of the writer. I have been wanting a coil binding system for several years to use with another little business that I have on the side. Since we moved in November, I no longer had access to a print shop with a coil binder. The Dirty Girls did nothing except push me over the edge.

Happy Coiling!

Lori,

You ROCK!!! I love your poem. And I love my rubicoil. Everyone should own one. It's a family affair. My daughter already bound two books she drew and wrote(she is a kindergardener), my husband got shiny eyes thinking of what to coil and my boys thought it would be cool for their special writing assignment.

So you see....RUBI is a must have for every Mom! Or even every wife...or every crafter. LOL There is always a reason to buy Rubi. You can't leave her all alone on the shelf! Now that wouldn't be right.

And did you see all the cute pretty colors the coils come in. Oh....Rubicoil is such a great wonderful tool!!!

I have to admit I caved this week and bought one too! I wasn't going to get the bigger coils, but I started to think about everything I could do with it! Can't wait for the new color charts, wheel charts, eyelet charts and on and on. I just know my son will love it too. He is currently using tape to make books. I haven't told him it's on the way. Shhhh

Default WOO-HOO for KatieStamper....

Another Rubi-Virus cured....Be sure to get some cute little projects uploaded really quick, katiestamper

I am taking a hint from StarLitStudios and doing a little end of the year project for my DD's preschool teacher. Sending a 4x6 blank index card to each student for a little picture, their own "handwritten" name and one special thought from Mom or Dad. Bind them all together is a little memory book. Of course, I will be casing that cute little apple journal using Fresh Fruit in the gallery. I am saving money already....

Happy Stampin'

This is so cool!
Maybe some stampers in my area will go in on one with me. Or do you NEED to have your own?

I've had mine for about 4 years now the ideas are endless. So quick and handy to make little notebooks for Casey's friends that come over,(they think I am so cool, lol). Its still as exciting today as it was 4 years ago when I bought it.

Have fun,
Lynette

Joy......quit pushin' your coils around! LOL!!

I want one, but must have Mr. Carl first.....I just about threw Mr. Fiskars out the window last night!

Plus......there's a new catty coming out soon...

Joy, can't you just lend me yours while you're off gettin' married and cruisin' into the sunset?! ;)

I love your poem, Lori. I must be living under a rock because I don't know anything about this product, but your poem certainly got me interested.

QC, you have to give in. You know you want to play with Rubi. I can drop her off at your place before I take off for my honeymoon! Wait, are you on the way to Thailand?! LOL!!!

How about I just punch some paper for you and then send you coils? Get Mr. Carl first. But, you have to hurry and get Rubi. He gets lonely!
