While I'm not totally thrilled about having to replace 4 of my ink colors that will be changed (forest, rose, burgandy and bliss blue) I'm SO excited that they'll have a sand color! I was just thinking the other day that SU really needs a color about half way between vanilla and creamy caramel, this sand sounds like that will do it.
I was just in the process of replacing my cheapo Michael's and Walmart cardstock with SU assorted packages. I already got EE and BB, and I was going to order RR and SS this month. Since these are the color families that appear to be changing the most, I really wonder now if I should hold off. I'm not a demo so I don't have the inside info on this but I really don't know what to do. I don't want to have paper that's outdated. Maybe I should just order individual packs of paper that won't be changing instead. Can't wait to see these new colors!

I think I might be excited about this except for a couple of things:
1.) I just signed up as a demo and I'm not totally familiar with the names of all the current colors and have been trying to learn them.
and
2.) I just sat down LAST NIGHT after a trip to Office Depot for sorters/carriers for all my paper, and filled out labels with all the colors/color families and sorted out all my paper. Now things have changed!! AAAACCCKKKK!!!! Sigh. Oh well, I was only up until midnight. No problem.
LOL!

I am going inactive on purpose so it is less painful, but still..... sigh.... I miss my SS mag!!!!!!!!!! UGH!
I still teach stamp classes though!

Yes, it's confirmed...
I just checked the SU! website and the May Stampin' Success is already there. This information is in the May Stampin' Success that goes out to all demos. ACK! and I just placed an order for some packs of cardstock in the "retiring" colors. I guess I'll have to get stampin!

Oh, Ok...I thought I remembered Emily saying that you were a demo when she was signing up to be a demo (I think I got that right??), or was it the other way around. At least you have your sis close now so you can get the latest scoop!
Yup...smells like a rat! Why do people have to do stuff like that and spoil things?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I just got my full set of markers yesterday which completed my set of all the colors, stamp pads, paper, reinkers, markers! Now what do I do.
I guess new colors would have been more fun If I knew about them three months ago.
Oh well.

I'm EXCITED! I have all the old style pads and couldn't reason with myself to buy the new ones. Now I HAVE to buy them. It would be impossible to store both styles...at least I think so
My demo is going to love me!

I just have to say Mamakimberly, I just love you! I know I would really enjoy you in person. You have such a fun way of putting things that are not offensive, but to the point. Thanks for always making me smile with your random off-the-wall posts! You totally rock!

I too am excited about the new colors and slightly frustrated as Mr. Brown delivered the last of my craft pads 4 days ago but..... why is this on the general discussion board?!! I won't be so subtle!! SHAME on you squeakyleaky!! Are you proud of yourself? For every good thing someone has to be there to ruin it right. This is not general knowledge yet!!!

I think these new colors are great. The colors they are discontinuing I never used anyway, and these new colors sound beautiful. I have all the old ink pads....not sure what I will do about the new colors...maybe just buy the markers and paper first and see how much I use them.
Am glad to hear about this....gives me time to think and plan for the new catty...where will I spend my money???

I am not sure I understand what the big deal with SqueakyLeaky telling about the new stuff. I wish I would have known before I just ordered all 48 stamp pads! I am glad she told us.... I was about to buy all the markers - I am glad I found out before I dumped more money out....
Thanks squeaky

I want to say Thanks to Squeakleaky too! I would have been really mad if I had spent money, and then found out they were discontinuing or changing my product. I think you are terrific for telling us. Thank you!!

Ok, I'm excited about the new colors. Who cares who leaked it. It makes us customers just as excited as you demos. Cha'ching we will definitely be getting ready to spend some $$$ as soon as they become available with our demos, which I'm sure you all appreciate. Whoever shared, thanks for sharing!!!

I am very happy to know this info, I am part of a marker club though so it kinda stinks b/c next month i will have all of the markers but not in current colors and no way to fit them in the box!!! I have held out to join the marker club until a few months ago and now the storage box which is the only bonus of buying all at once, will not work. Also I will have packs of all the paper that will no longer be current colors. Oh well I am happy for the info eithr way, maybe SU will offer a solution for the marker box issue. I don't mind the paper but the box bothers me!

take teh discontinued markers, and put a rubber band around them.. and store them in your pen/marker drawer on their side.. cause they wont get used much anyway.. with no "coordinating" paper.. and keep your black marker on the desk all the time.. cause you use it a lot.. then you have room for the new ones! that is what i plan to do.

Ok, so now I have to cancel some shopping trips and save up! And thank goodness they're putting neutrals as an assortment pack! I hate buying them all seperately sometimes. Sounds good! I guess I should sign up soon... I have been thinking about it for a while and now it looks lke I will need the discount lol! And when will SU! stop producing the retiring colors? So excited for the apricot color! Kinda scared about Bliss Blue and Pos Pink, should I stock up on those colors? hmmm...
