With a name like penguin pants, I really thought I'd find some penguin stamps, but I didn't.

oh WHY oh WHY did I look! There are some sets that are just MUST haves for me (Look Both Ways, On the Trail and Cheers) and the watch parts hardware is so cool!

Okay, so who already has some stamps from them? I'm not too keen on clear stamps, but find that I can work with Papertrey, though it does take me a while to adjust from the "touch" required for rubber to the "touch" required for the polymer stamps. Anyway, anyone who has both these and Papertrey - how do they compare?

Oh I love the watch parts too, and the other hardware. Fabulous. Must have a look and see if they send to Oz.

Cute Stamps! However, on the page where they talk about caring for your stamps, I never heard of using an eraser to prime them for use.

When you do that with the clear stamps, it seems to keep the ink from beading up on them. It just makes for a cleaner image. I do it with all of my clear stamps.

On the section that talks about their stamps, it says they are made of polymer and there is a picture of a clear penguin stamp. I agree that the name of the company (as in Penguin Pants RUBBER Stamps) is a be misleading. Maybe the originally intended to use rubber but switched to polymer and had already registered the company name?

good to know.

i looked and they do indeed have some very cute stuff. but i prefer rubber.

i am a little overwhelmed with trying to compile a list of rubber stamp sources. i think that is why i tend to stick to SU! (i venture out on occasion) i guess i shouldn't try to fix it if it ain't broke!

they are clear I think they started out wanting to do rubber but the price is really high so they went with the clear ones. makes it nice to see where you are stamping at least

taking an eraser to the stamps first helps break them in a bit. the clear stamps can have a bit of a resist on them from the factory but once they are stamped or primed out they stamp great
