I got some about three weeks ago and when I saw this post thought I'd check to see if they are still good.........

Reporting back after serching for them and they still work great!!!!

For inquring [?] minds they have a retractable stopper that must work as well as a cap.

Now if they had some kind of tracking device...................

I just went to the sharpie website and it says:

"The Safety Seal TM Valve design prevents dry out!"

Depending on how much they cost, I think I might prefer replacing dried out ones to searching for those caps!

Nice to know they work, not like Sharpie would make something that didn't, I love sharpies! As a seasoned summer camp counselor I can't count the times I have used these things! LOL

Hey, if they can come up with OnStar for vehicles, and GPS units for everything else that moves, why not Sharpies?!

I've gotta wonder why I've got some of the same brush tip markers I started out with 10 years ago, but can't keep track of a Sharpie for more than a half hour. Somewhere in my house there's a black hole. I think it eats socks too, and my favorite bra.....

Please help the novice here... I've heard Sharpies mentioned often- what do you use them for with stamping?

Dawn.MA,
I just recently used Sharpies to color on glossy tiles. Here's a photo of one:

Ah-ha... I see. Very beautiful, and probably easy, too?! I love that retired set. On a side note, last year I was pregnant with my first child when that set was retiring. I really wanted to get it in case someday I have 2 daughters. I did not know if I was having a Boy or Girl, and figured if I bought the set I was sure to have a boy. I didn't buy it, and I had a girl~ go figure!?!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.

I saw the commercial this morning too. I thought they looked really cool. Thanks for the extra info gathered from their web site. Good to know.

Dawn.MA,
If you go to Forums and look under the Buy/Sell/Trade, you will find several demos are selling their Friendship Grows sets. It is still not too late to get it! And this way you may even get an UM set for cheap!
Good luck!

I have seen this commercial too! and I must say I love it. the retractable sharpie is a good idea but the commercial is just WAY TOO CUTE! with that little baby and when his toes touch the floor he cries and when the are an inch of the ground (that means Mom is holding him) he stops crying!

Gotta Love It! Those Sharpie People have sold me just by their cute commercial!

Now everytime I use the new sharpies I will get a chuckle from remembering that commercial!

Default I saw these the other day in Office Max, but

thought they might dry out faster, so I passed on them. Plus the ones I saw were fine point tipped and I didn't think they'd be that easy to color on tiles with, so I stuck with the tried and true capped version in 18 wonderful colors.
