Default New ribbon

I went to Michael's today to get my $ Martini stamp and found that they had some new ribbon!!!! It's called Dashes, Dots & Checks! They are wonderful colors of ginghams, and sheers with dots. They are 3/8" x 5 yds. Nice new colors for spring!

Check it out if you DARE!!!

I just bought some myself...they are kind of pricey (about $2 for 3 to 5 yards, I think), but it's so fun to see new things that I didn't feel too bad for splurging.

Default ribbon

All the new one's I bought today were 5 yards for $1.99! They are new and they were in a box that was hanging on the side of the ribbons. Since I like to have my ribbon RIGHT NOW, I thought the price was just within reason....if you can call my ribbon thing within reason!!!

I got some over the weekend, too. They had gingham in a pink passion color and a close to cocoa color. I may have to go back and get some more...maybe they'll have them on sale soon if they're considered "spring ribbon"

I'm a ribbon junkie. I had just picked up a bunch of pretty May Arts ribbons @ the local stamp store, and then went to Michaels. . .and walked out with more!

I got a summer sun-ish sheer w/dots, close to cocoa w/dots, pink passion w/dots, summer sun w/pink passion stitching, and a bunch more I can't remember.

Somebody stop me! (Or at the very least, make me USE the stuff I buy!)

I just got back from Target on my lunch hour! Yes, I have to work. I checked out their $1 rolls of ribbon and got 4 different - one was summer sun with white dots (1/8"); one was a dark blue; one was black organdy with white dots (1/4") (I had gotten the cocoa with white dots the other day for $1.99. I can't remember the color of the 4th one. Went to spend my 40% coupon- got the Joy of Cardmaking magazine.

I have been trying to get into ribon and other embelishments, so on ebay I found a lot or 1 foot of everything. ribbon/hemp/wire etc. It came yesterday and I'll see what I like to use and what I don't without spending a fortune first...

Is there anything more yummy than ribbon??!!! I LUV it!! I wish I had a whole wall to have it all out and see what I actually have!! The ribbons from Michael's ARE great and when they have a sale on the organdy I try to stock up on basic essential colors. The trouble is my essential list is growing!! Joann's has some wider gingham is nice springy colors-5 yards for 1.99. Oh, the thrill of the chase........

Maybe we should have a ribbon swap? 1 yard for 1 yard? Anyone interest?

Oh it's so nice to hear from my fellow ribbon junkies! I have four of the Target organizers on the top of a dresser, but what people DON'T know is that the drawer below is ALSO filled with ribbon!

I also got some really great ribbon in Walmart--narrow ginghams! I have to shield my eyes when walking past the ribbon at Michael's! But sometimes the pull is just too strong! Ok, I just noticed that all of my sentences are ending with exclamation points! I have to calm down!

I hope SU comes up with more variety of the printed ribbons. I love the gingham and would love to see more colors. And maybe some of the dotted ones too?

I love the SU ribbon because it's so reasonably priced (granted you have to buy a whole roll). My Walmart ribbon I was looking at yesterday was only 3 yards on a roll - SU's is 25 yards!! And SU's grosgrain is so much softer and easier to work with.

If you like SU ribbon but don't want to buy all the colors, you could do a Ribbon Share with friends - everyone buys a roll or two and someone offers to do the ordering and divides it all up when it comes - so you get a decent amount of *all* the colors.
