Does anybody know if any of the Michaels stores in Illinois are the new concept store?

Thank you.

If I understand correctly, there are several stores that were "improved" to include a larger scrapbooking section.

i think i know what you mean now. theres an older Mike's i go to, and a newer-built one where all the scrapbooking has been moved to the middle of the store and put on smaller display racks.
is that what you mean?

A new store just opened this weekend in Hillside, IL. The whole middle of the store was scrapbooking and stamping and paper crafts. Is that what you mean?

Yes, that is what I have heard about. Do you think they are better? I don't want to make the drive if there is no real difference. Thank you so much.

I can't answer your question about the IL store but I've been to a "new concept" store and I LOVE IT! It's about an hours drive away but I stop by every time I'm even remotely in the area.

I would recommend going at least once!
