new in-colors for 2008-pictures
I saw a thread a few days ago where someone had posted the new in-colors. Unfortunately, it really was a sneak peek for me because it was a small picture and when I enlarged it, it went all grainy on me. So I really did not get a good look. Other than most of them were on the bright side. I thought I saw an orange. Am curious since we already have Only Orange and Pumpkin Pie. Must have a different hue to it.
Anyhoo, was wondering if anyone has any larger pictures to share? I know, I know....it's still 3 months away....why get excited now? I have no idea, but I am so dang curious!

Really? cat vomit! Hee hee. Too funny. I thought it looked like PTI's Spring Moss. That greeny-yellow one Nichole has out. Did not think I would like it until I had it in my hands. It's different, bright, fun. Wouldn't want to use it forever, but 1 pack is great!
Have you checked out all the clothes, especially kids stuff? They are all these colors! Very bright. I bet someone does some spectacular cards with that Kiwi!

Yes, I'm sticking with cat vomit.....in fact my bad kitty Connor left me a surprise yesterday and it looked just like that color!
I'm not a fan of the PTI spring moss either, so I guess it makes sense I dont like this one either.
And I typically hate bright kids clothes, but it is the summer season and brights usually come out in summer, I understand that. But Tangerine at Christmas???? I love orange, but not that bright.
I like the new red and pink and lighter blue.....the others I don't think I'll get!

I am wondering how well they can be used together? We are talking some serious brightness here. I used to hate 'bright' but have taken a liking to it thanks to Beate! But usually all the in-colors meld so well together. These do not seem to, although I guess Kiwi with the blues and the pink with the red. I have seen Beate use red and orange a lot lately and she makes it look fab!
Agree with you about Christmas...tangerine is an odd one for that time of the year. These ones will not go over well for people who hate brights. But that is a nice, light pink. SU! needed that in their lineup. It should be a regular, not an in color.

I am stocking up and my cards next year will still have a lot of Bayou, sky and Not quite Navy as that seems to be my fave combo, but I like wasabi and pomegranate too.
The new colors remind my of a cheapy color combo pack I got at AC moore when I was just starting 8-10 years ago and I still have some of that UGLY ORANGE. Even my GSs wouldn't use it. Cat vomit is right on for the green and I like the PTI one.

Well, I am going to save a lot of money. I don't care for them . . I was hoping for something more unique like some of the past in-colors. Not orange, red, blue ...

Right now I don't care for them either. I am sure that will change though after I start seeing cards made with them though. I did not like Groovy Guava at all and now I really use that color alot.!
Yes I to think they are definitely bright!

I agree with you. I've liked that the In Colors are always pretty unique and blend beautifully. That read is a spitting image for real red. Guess I'll be saving money next year . . .

Thanks for posting the link!!!! I am stocking up on this years in colors because I LOVE them.
I am sure these colors will grow on all of us, however at first glance I am not totally taken like I was with this years.
So sad to see them go...

Hmmm. Not sure about this new line-up. Gotta see them in real life to be sure, but I may also be saving lots of money this year. Nothing screams "Buy ME!" like wasabi and pomegranite did last year.
Elizebeth, thanks for sharing that link!

I'm not crazy about the new colors either. I was already thinking about stocking up on this years colors because I really love them. Now that I have seen the new colors, I think I will.
I'm not a huge fan of bright colors and right now I don't plan on buying them. But I'm sure when they come out everyone will be using them and making great projects and then I'll end up buying them!

I've just resigned myself to waiting to see them in person before making my decision, lol. I can look at those colors on any one of FOUR computers in my house and they'll look different every time. There's just no substitute for up close and personal, kwim?
I'll do what I generally do, and order an assortment pack at the beginning. That will give me a better idea on how or if I need to plan my purchases...

I'm not crazy about them now but will wait until I see them in real life! I just don't go for bright colors as much as I do the muted and earthy colors. Just wait and see!

Am I the only one who thinks those colors are almost the EXACT same as some of the current colors? I would have swore that was a stack of real red, only orange, brilliant blue, bashful blue and pretty in pink. Except for that kiwi, though; I agree w/the cat vomit comparison. Last years in-colors popped at me and I love them but I think I'll definitely go w/out on these.

I don't like any of the new ones either. I am more of a pastel earth tones girl. They should do something really unique keep the ones from this year!

Ohhhh.... yucko.
I don't care for Bold Brights and rarely if ever use that color family - I'm so totally disappointed in these new colors.... the only one that would fit in my color schemes is the kiwi one and it's well... ugly. The light blue is nice, but looks very similar to bashful blue.
I guess I will save some money next year, so that's a positive.

Not impressed with those colors so I can save some money for other things. They remind me too much of Bold Brights and I haven't been using that color group very much for the last few years.

The light pink one looks pretty. The rest? Don't think so. I was refusing to order this year's because I just didn't want to get on the in-color band wagon but I think I'm going to go ahead and get some more of the paper and ribbon. Since I didn't use this year's colors this year, I think I'll order them now and use them well into next year. I still have lots of cool carribbean left as well, love, love that color.

Seem to be in the minority here but I'm tickled to death to see the Kiwi (cat vomit) color! It's so truly "in" right now, from cell phones to purses, it's everywhere!
I love the orange and the pink. I don't actually see what's different about the red, I'm sure someone will post a comparison soon. The blue's ok, I'm sure I'll like it when the geniuses here get started on it!

We're looking at a picture taken by a camera under goodness knows what lighting conditions and then there is your computer's monitor, which is not reliable either. So, I'm not passing judgment until I see them, KWIM?

Oooooo!
Thanks for asking this! I love seeing the colors before hand.
The light pink looks to me a tiny bit like the old retired SU mauve mist, which I have MISSED terribly. I"m not really a brights person, so other than the pink and cat vomit (I also think it looks like that!) I might not get the rest... but it does depend on what they end up looking like in my hands, in my stamp room. I might get the assorted CS and then decide from there which pads and more CS I really want....
Tangerine can be used at christmas if you are making a blue and white card. Orange is a complimentary color to blue and actually looks quite nicely with it when used in very small amounts.... here's one I did with just a smidgin' of pumpkin pie, soft sky and blue bayou, last year.

I'm not seeing them much different from current colors, but I'm sure they are. The peeps at SU are not silly they wouldn't trick us into buying the same colors. So if I know that I think I will like these, I'd like another shade of red, pink, blue I guess *there are a lot of blues it seems like to me* I'm telling myself that these are "sophisticated brights". If they are like I think they should be I will enjoy working with them.
