New catty.........what would you get?
So far what I like the most is the owl stamp set with the matching dies.......but it's $55.00....! I'm going to a workshop next week and I have one of the $5.00 coupons for buying last month. I can't convince myself that I want that expensive set but not sure if there's something I'm missing. I know I can always buy card stock or something from the regular catty but the "special" catalogs are usually more fun than this one is to me. Any thoughts?

I like the owl also....but $55 is a lot of money. How many times would I really use it.

I think the first set I am going to get is Beautiful Baubles. (Just the stamps, no dies.) The largest ornament reminds me of one we used to have on our tree when I was a kid. And the frosted floral paper caught my eye as far as non-holiday merchandise goes.

I wouldn't use it because it's not the style of card I would send ( and I prefer rubber) but I just love Signs of Santa.
The sentiments in Homemade Kindness aren't ones I would use either, but the stove is something really different and I'm definitely considering that set.

Signs of Santa is adorable. I was thinking about ordering the Santa's workshop memories & more card pack instead of the set. That way I could use the same kinds of designs but in a "consumable" kind of way.
Sabrina - that stove in Homemade Kindess caught my eye, too. It reminds me of Christmas In the Making from last year that had the retro ladies in it.
For some reason, Timeless Tidings (page 33) keeps catching my eye. Looks like one of those sets that could get used for years and years. (Laughing at myself… I guess maybe that's why they called it timeless

I love all the sets that have beautiful Christmas sentiments. I rarely stamp sentiments on the inside of my cards, but with Christmas ones I do.

For me, it depends on how well my annual fall hostess workshop goes! I need a lot of utilitarian things first- cutter blades, dimensional, cardstock... after that we’ll see. I am working less this school year so have less disposable income.
That being said, I do like the Christmas sentiment set with the dies but it is around $65 Canadian! Can I justify that for Christmas?? Of course they didn’t put in Birthday to go along with the Happy ...
I will order the tin tile embossing folder. And I am toying with some designer paper. I wish they were 6 x 6 pads though. They are expensive too.

Thanks Basketdiva..........I'll have to take another look........have no idea where I came up with that $55.00.......possibly on Pinterest when I was looking at some of the cards done there. They're not always from the US and I may not have noticed. I was going to sit down with the catalogs this morning and decide what to get at the workshop......always fun to see what catches everyones eye and for what reasons. I have revisited many sets that I had just glanced over and decided they were a good fit. I appreciate all the input.

Still Night is $55.75 as a bundle in Canadian dollars. Ours is always more expensive.

I just ordered Wishing You Well. It looks like a simple classic design and I love that sheer looking bow. I’ve seen a few videos with it.

I know! I love that bow too! And although I am not drawn to owls, I might get that Still night because of all the other stamps and dies in that bundle. There is a lot I do like in the new catty.
Winter Woods is calling my name too!

Winter Woods is calling my name too! $68.25 for that bundle here in Canada!

Yea, I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting Winter Woods too, even at that price. Well, at least it’s in Canadian dollars. I just read something about the bow in the Wishing You Well set. It’s something new, and something about opacity. I’m excited to get it.

The new core colors paper pack and markers is all I want at this point. For the first time since 2010 I'm skipping the newest InColor paper and markers. I have plenty of stash for Halloween, Fall and Christmas projects. I got sticker shock at their prices this year!

I've already ordered the tags and tidings bundle, the tin tile embossing folder, and two packs of the All is Bright DSP. You all have mentioned stuff I missed the first go round! LOL Back to look at the catalog!

I feel the same way about the new incolors, but may cave at some point. I am concerned as to how the new inkpads are now. So, maybe that has something to do with it. I do not have any of the new inkpads (yet!) and am a bit reluctant to order them.

I was a bit shocked when I discovered the new ink pads.....very, very juicy. However, after some experimentation I've found that there's a definite learning curve and they may be better for some things than others. There are some colors I ALWAYS stamp off at least once........the lighter ones, not so much. I like them on photopolymer stamps and have found them to be excellent for sponging and watercoloring. I think you should get a couple and play I bit. I only have 5-6 and a friend has a few too. I really like the new Soft Sea Foam and her Balmy Blue is a very pretty greenish blue. They're fun but I do love my felt pads!

I like the new ink pads better on the photo-polymer stamps. I used the coupon to get the banner triple punch. I also put in on a friend's party and got Merry Christmas To All and First Frost stamps without the dies. I also got the Frosted Floral paper which is gorgeous and Festive Farmhouse paper which is just ok. I skipped the dies as I just couldn't make myself spend that much on them. I don't mind fussy cutting.

I'm having to rethink my buying of things.
I really want more than I can afford.
However I mange to purchase about $100 worth of stamps and supplies.
Yes I know I didn't get much.
